Welcome to AIRWalk!

Helping to empower young women one step at a time.

AIRWalk is a three mile walk through downtown Portsmouth to benefit Arts In Reach, a nonprofit organization providing free, high quality, mentoring and arts programs to teenage women in the Greater Seacoast Area of NH. AIRWalk is our first teen-founded fundraising event! In 2011, one young woman decided to plan the first ever AIRWalk as a way to celebrate her love for AIR and to help provide funding for AIR programs in the future. The event is designed to collect funds that will directly benefit AIRs programs in theatre, dance, visuals arts and creative writing. AIRWalk is a fun opportunity for you to stay fit and to show your support for the young women in our community! Enclosed is a Sponsorship and Pledge Sheet to collect funds and help spread the word about AIR! We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to walking with you!

HOW TO REGISTER: Complete the attached registration form. Mail, email or fax it to AIR (using the contact info below). OR, just bring the completed form with you to registration on Event day!

Registration is $15 per AIRWalker (sponsorship money CAN cover this fee!) Children under 12 may walk for free! We encourage you to bring family & friends, but all adults must pay the $15 registration fee. Leashed dogs are welcome!

Please turn in your registration form & any sponsorship money during registration on Oct. 20th. AIR Tee-shirts will be given to first year participants with registration fee. AIRWalk buttons will be given to returning participants with registration fee.

Dear Potential Sponsor, I will be walking three miles on October 20th to support Arts In Reach, a nonprofit organization providing free, high quality, mentoring and arts programs to teenage women in the Greater Seacoast Area of NH. AIRs enrichment programs are free of cost and provide dance, theatre, creative writing and visual arts instruction that help build confidence and self-esteem. Contributions of any size are welcome and 100% of the funds support Arts in Reach! Checks can be made out to Arts in Reach. Please include your contact information so that a receipt can be mailed to you for your tax-deductible contribution.

AIR AT A GLANCE:
AIRs mission is to empower teenage girls through mentoring and the arts. AIR serves over 150 teenage women in the Greater Seacoast Area of NH. AIR provides afterschool, school vacation and summer vacation programs in theatre, dance, poetry & visual arts. AIR utilizes the arts as the vehicle to build confidence, self-esteem & resiliency in teenage girls. AIR provides a safe haven for teen girls where they can express themselves freely and they are encouraged to use their unique voice. AIR teaches girls to respect each other and themselves and shows them how to have healthy relationships with their peers and adults. AIR is committed to offering programs at no cost and assisting with transportation to ensure that all teens have access to the arts.

I will abide by AIR guidelines as outlined in the AIRWalk materials. Although AIR and the public/private venues around the walk site have taken safety precautions, I recognize that these organizations or their staff cannot ensure nor guarantee that participants, equipment, or personal belongings will be free of hazards, accidents, and/or injuries. I will not hold AIR responsible for any lost or stolen items while at AIRWalk. I give AIR the permission to conduct necessary searches on me or my belongings for drugs, alcohol, missing items, and/or weapons. I hereby give permission to the medical personnel selected by AIR staff to provide all necessary medical needs in the event of an accident, and to provide or arrange necessary related transportation or hospitalization. AIR is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death to any person suffered while participating in any activity for any reason whatsoever, including negligence on the part of AIR, its representatives, or employees in 2012. I acknowledge that participation in AIRWalk is voluntary. I agree to turn in all funds collected on behalf of AIR.
