New Statutory Requirements- Fire Fighting System - STD-117


Tank Farm Having 30,000 KL (8 mg) +. Two Fire Contingencies. For Pipeline terminal , 10.2 lpm /m2 of pump shed area to be considered. Supplementary stream to be considered for 4 hydrants + 1 monitor. Hydrocarbon Detectors . Remote operated high volume long range monitors .

Liquid Pipeline: 18,500 KM approx.

Summary
Pipelines in India are laid adhering to the sat regulations mentioned. Where ever need is felt these regulations are amended from time to time. Additional OISD Standards are being made statutory through amendment of regulations. ASME Standards form basis for design of pipelines in India. More association with ASME.
