1. Installation of LCTWEB (Version 2)


Installation of the LCTWEB (Version 2) to your PC is required when the F/W Version 3.X.X of the IDU is used. The LCTWEB (Version 2) for standard IDU is found in the CD-ROM which is attached to the IDU equipment or you can download from the Software Key Support System web site (http://www.nec-pasolink-softwarekey.com). Step 1: Double click Setup.vbs icon, then the installation of the LCTWEB will begin.

Step 2:

Click OK.

Step 3:

Click OK after the installation has finished.

2. Installation of USB Driver


Following procedure explains how to install the USB modem driver to Windows XP. Step 1: Connect the PC USB port with the LCT port by a USB cable. a list or specific location [Advanced] and click Next button. Select Install from

Step 2: Insert the CD-ROM or refer the HDD of the USB driver to the PC and select Search for the best driver in these locations radio button. Select Search removal media [floppy, CD-ROM] checkbox, then click Next button.

ROI-S06391 Step 3: Click Continue Anyway button inside the Hardware Installation alert window.

Step 4: USB driver installation will be started. Click Finish button inside the Found New Hardware Wizard window after installation has completed.

3. Dial-up Settings
Following procedure explains how to set the Dial-up. Step 1: Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Network Connections icon to start the dialup settings.

Step 2: The Network Connections window appears. Click Create a new connection in the Network Tasks category.

ROI-S06391 Step 3: The Welcome to the New Connection Wizard window appears. Click Next button to continue.

Step 4: Select Connect to the network at my workplace radio button and click Next button to continue.

ROI-S06391 Step 5: Select Dial-up connection radio button and click Next button to continue.

Step 6: In the New Connection Wizard window, enter LCT in the Company Name entry field and click Next button to continue.

ROI-S06391 Step 7: Enter the phone number you will use to make the connection in the Phone number entry field and click Next button to continue.

Step 8: Verify that the connection LCT is displayed as your registered connection. You can also create a shortcut on your desktop if you need by selecting the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop checkbox. Click Finish button.

ROI-S06391 Step 9: Inside the Connect LCT window, click Properties.

Step 10: Verify that Modem - USB Modem Driver [COM(#)] checkbox and Show icon in notification area when connected checkbox are selected on the General tab, then click Configure button.

ROI-S06391 Step 11: In the Modem Configuration window, make sure that all five checkboxes are deselected, then click OK button.

Step 12: Leave the default settings on the Options tab.

Click Security tab.

ROI-S06391 Step 13: Leave the default settings on the Security tab. Click Networking tab.

Step 14: On the Networking tab, verify that PPP is selected in the Type of dial-up server I am calling drop-down menu, and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and Client for Microsoft Networks checkboxes are deselected. Click Settings button.

ROI-S06391 Step 15: In the PPP Settings window, deselect all three checkboxes. Click OK to go back to the previous window.

Step 16: Point Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click Properties.

ROI-S06391 Step 17: Verify that both Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically radio buttons are selected. Click Advanced button.

Step 18: In the Advanced TCP/IP Settings window, select Use default gateway on remote network checkbox. Deselect Use IP header compression checkbox. Then click OK button.

4. LCT Dial-up
Following procedure explains how to dial-up to the equipment. Step 1: Click Start | Settings | Network Connections | LCT to start dialing.

Step 2:

Click Dial button.

ROI-S06391 Step 3: The Connecting LCT pop-up window appears while connecting.

Step 4: The message below will appear after LCT dial-up has connected.

5. Launching LCTWEB
Step 1: Click Start | Programs | NEC_LCT | LCT For STD to start the application.

ROI-S06391 Step 2: LCT Login window appears. Confirm the LCTWEB Version is correctly displayed depending on the version number of LCT WEB software you installed.

Note: In case you click Login button before dialup, a connection failure message will appear.
