In our country and culture a teacher is still held in great honor and respect.

H e is considered as a foundation of all knowledge and source of great ideals. He is the torch bearer to the society. Students look up to him with faith and hope to seek his guidance. Teacher can guide the whole generation through his versati le personality. Dr. Radhakrishnan . If good ideas and values are to be perpetuat ed and inculcated in the younger generation, they must come from the mouth of te achers in their classes at all the levels of education.Like a unit of money whic h circulates and has multiple effects in economy, teacher also multiplies his in fluence among students who come in his contact year in and year out with a few h undred students every year, he will have a life long impact on thousands of them during the period of his service before retires. So teachers play a significant role in moulding the futu re of the country. --------------Dr.Sarvepalli Radha krishna was born in Tiruttani in Tamilnadu on 5 th september 1888 This is a very great memorable day where we got the chance to honor and show gra titude towards our dedicated teachers.Dr.Sarvepalli Radha krishna's birthday is being celebrated as Teachers day.Do all of us know who is this great person and what all his achievements? Let me give you a brief note about him which every on e should know. Dr.Sarvepalli Radha krishna was born in Tiruttani in Tamilnadu on 5 th September 1888. Dr. Sarvepalli Radha krishna is one of the greatest Philosopher of modern times. At an early stage he studied epics and puranas. He had a mind of inquiry . He was a very great orator. He could critically analysis and explain philosoph ical truths. Students liked his lectures and he was considered as an ideal teach er.. He often used to say teaching gave him satisfaction and peace of mind. He was a prolific writer, who wrote books, 1. Reasons of Religion contemporary philosophy 2. Indian philosophy in two volumes These books made him world famous and he was a whiting professor of philosophy t o many western universities including Oxford university, England. He served as a vice chancellor of many universities notably, the Calcutta Univer sity, Andhra University and Banaras hindu University. It is while serving at Ban aras that he came under the influence of Gandhiji.He had an 'Exceptional style' in delivering lectures which was his fort(a person strong point). After independ ence he served as an Ambassador of India in Mascow and he was the first one to b e received in person by the great leader Stalin. He was honored with the Barath Rathna Award. His Birthday, this day is being celebrated as "Teachers Day" thr ough out the nation.
