Trade Profiles
The Trade Profiles are at the heart of the Trade Intelligence offering, and provide a comprehensive, detailed and up-to-date view of South Africas major retailers and wholesalers, their current trading strategies, and their performance relative to that of their competitors. They are available as management-ready PPT presentations and downloadable on our website www.tradeintelligence.co.za.
Which retailers does trade Intelligence profile and how are the trade Profile reports compiled?
Trade Intelligence has a dedicated research team who monitor your retail accounts daily. We subscribe to every relevant industry publication, regional and national newspaper, the financial press and newswire. We read every story and cross-reference it back to our existing knowledge database. We liaise with the analyst community, attend shareholder briefings and we talk directly to key retailers both at group and divisional level. Regular store visits across each retailers demographic profile, provide us with photographic insights into the execution of retail strategy on the shop floor. Information from these diverse sources is collated, and fed through our comparative analysis database to produce our current and trended comparative reports.
Hard copies were handed out at our Sales Conference for use in putting together account plans. Some have even used the SA environment section as part of discussions with their buyers. The team have found the tool extremely useful
