Financial Opportunities for Graduate Students: ASI Scholarships: Due November 2nd at 5pm.

ASI is currently offering a variety of scholarships including 4 - $1,000 Memorial Scholarships, 15 - $500 ASI Scholarships, and a $500 Dreamer's Scholarship. The UEI Campus Grant Program reflects UEIs investment in the ongoing vitality of the campus community and the important role played by innovative faculty, student and staff projects. We are particularly interested in projects that advance discovery and understanding while promoting teaching, research and campus engagement. The award maximum is $5,000 and the average award is anticipated to be $2,500 or less. http://www.enterprises.csus.edu/campusgrantprogram/ Student Academic Development Grants: The purpose of the Student Academic Development Program fund, established with Sacramento State discretionary lottery monies, is to support activities that extend students educational experiences beyond the normal instructional environment. We encourage students from all academic disciplines to apply. Our goal of fostering campus life can only be met through the combined efforts of various programs and organizations throughout campus. Each fiscal year ASI allocates funds, which are to be disbursed to those on-campus programs that are dedicated to our common goal of serving the students. The ASI External Grant Packet will be available November 9, 2011 on the ASI website, http://www.asi.csus.edu. Applicants must be a University sponsored program or activity in good standing. Student clubs and organizations are not eligible for this grant. http://www.asi.csus.edu/Media_Storage/External_Grant_Application_20122013_FINAL_FINAL_FINAL.pdf Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive/Forgivable Loan Program $30,000 Due February 7, 2013. This program is designed to increase the diversity of persons qualified to fill instructional faculty positions at campuses in the CSU system. This is a competitive program directed by the CSU system, but it is open to doctoral students at accredited universities across the country. Once awarded, students can receive loans of up to $10,000 per year up to a total of $30,000 within five years for students enrolling in doctoral programs. Applicants must be applying to a doctoral program, obtain sponsorship from a CSU faculty member, and have aspirations of returning to teach in the CSU system. California Pre-Doctoral Program (Sally Casanova) $3,000- Due February 15th, 2013. The Predoctoral program is designed to increase the pool of potential university faculty by supporting the doctoral aspirations of individuals who are: current upper division or graduate students in the CSU system; economically and educationally disadvantaged, and U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The grant provides up to $3,000 for students to use for: exposure to research in their chosen fields; visits to doctoral-granting institutions, national symposiums or professional meetings; membership in professional organizations; subscriptions to academic journals; graduate school application fees; graduate examination fees, and books and materials. Graduate Equity Fellowship- Due April 12, 2013. A grant offered to students who have experienced economic and educational disadvantages. Students must meet financial and academic requirements and be classified or conditionally classified in a graduate program at Sacramento State.
