Mindanao None None Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal (PSWS) #2 and #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal # 2 are alerted of possible storm surges. Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 25 mm per hour (moderate - intense) within the 350 km diameter of the Tropical Storm. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Seaboards of Luzon and over the eastern Seaboard of Central Luzon due to the effect of Tropical Storm "Ofel" and the surge of Northeast Monsoon. The public and the disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions. II. ACTION/S TAKEN NDRRMC Operations Center is on RED ALERT status to continuously monitor and disseminate Severe Weather Bulletin No. 11 on Tropical Storm "OFEL" to all OCD Regional Centers through SMS and facsimile and uploaded on the NDRRMC website for further dissemination to their respective local disaster risk reduction and management councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels. Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake precautionary measures in their area of responsibility (AOR) and subsequently advised local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation of families in low-lying and mountainous areas if situation warrants. 2
