Do not miss this must-attend event of the year for the entire ecosystem!
2012 has been the year of coming-of-age for small cell technology in North, Central and South America as a whole. The focus has moved away from competing technologies and moved towards creating a converged wireless solution portfolio. Operators are looking for affordable turnkey solutions to expand coverage, decrease pressure on the macronetwork and maximise their spectrum usage. Meanwhile, vendors are releasing small cell solutions that fit easily into an existing network and can work together with other technologies such as DAS and Wi-Fi. Small cells now play a key role in network roll-outs in the region and abroad. Innovations such as open-access femtocells and higher capacity pico and metrocells have transformed the technology from an ad-hoc coverage solution, to an opportunity for new revenue streams and large-scale deployments. Higher capacity, open-access settings, SON capabilities and more enhanced network planning techniques are driving small cell technology to become a universally applicable technology for networks worldwide. 2012 is also an exciting year for Avren Events and the Small Cell Forum. Having rebranded to cover not only femtocell and small cell technology, Avren has had great success experiencing a 60% growth in delegate numbers in Taipei for the Asian event, launching the Small Cells MENA Conference in October and welcoming 500 delegates to the World Summit in London last June.
