The worlds largest pesticide companies - including Monsanto, who produced Agent Orange and DDT, are spending One Million Dollars a Day on TV ads to confuse Californians about Proposition 37 - a label that will give us the right to know whether the food we buy contains genetically engineered ingredients (GMOs). NO ON 37 CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Criminal Investigation of no on Prop 37 campaign underway for misuse of FDA Seal and Fabricated FDA Quote A no on Prop 37 TV ad had to be yanked because it falsely identied Dr. Henry Miller as a Stanford doctor. A few days later their mailer made the same deceptive claim. No on Prop 37 misquoted the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (worlds largest organization for food and nutrition professionals) in the California Ofcial Voter Information Guide. The organization HAS NEVER stated that biotech foods are safe.
GE Salmon Coming! Currently, there are no genetically engineered animals in the human food supply, but the rst one - a GE salmon, is on its way to our dinner plates. Without Prop 37, it will be unlabeled.
Example: Monsantos Bt corn. DNA from a bacteria Bt (bacillus thuringiensis), a pesticide that kills insects, is engineered into the corn - which then produces pesticides in every cell of the plant. When a worm eats the Bt corn, its stomach breaks open and it dies. WHAT IS IT DOING TO US?
