1. General
1.1 Introduction
The MTTsoftware is a product of the company Coesfeld Materialtest. These operating instructions were provided after best knowledge and certain. Nevertheless errors can be present, for which the company Coesfeld Materialtest cannot take over adhesion.

The current measurement stores into an optional Access-database Loads measurement-date from memory-card Opens a new window with the parameter, which belongs to the indicated measurement. Opens a new window with the measurement-results Stops the current measurement Exit the program

The current measurement shows in the report window Defines for the curve-diagram fixed x- and y-scales A window with the report designer opens. Here the customer own of report design (e.g. customer-logo) can. Opens the General Options-window A window points to calibrating the measuring systems (only for coworkers of Coesfeld) Opens a dialog to change the handling if the customer has more than one handling. Tare the force. After restarting software, the tare value is discarded. Opens a dialog to check the communication-data between PC and PLC Acknowledge lining up errors. Without acknowledgement no further measuring enterprise is possible. 1.3 Main-window
After starting the software first the main window appears similar the lower illustration (with measurement!):

Window-Item: Order: Ready to measure: Ready in: Force: Tension:

Description: Indicates the current measuring order Becomes Green, if over "Measurement" -> "New" a new measurement were started. If the measurement was started then over "Start" button at the handling, this field becomes again Red. The remaining time of the measurement shows. "Maximum gate time" depends in the "general options" on the parameter. The current strength indicates during the measurement. The current tension indicates during the measurement.

1.3.1 Error-Messages
In the field "Portable Tensile-Tester" appear in the case of an error flashing plain language announcement. Possible errors are:
Error message: Limit-switch reached Max. force reached Could not open communication port Device do not answer Device is invalid No handling connected Meaning: The handling drove during the measurement into the limit switch. During the measurement the maximum force was exceeded When starting of the software the adjusted serial interface could not be opened. The device is not either attached to the correct serial interface or not switched on The attached device is invalid -> Please contact Coesfeld Materialtest! No handling is attached to the controller

If the appropriate error condition was eliminated, the error message must still with the function "Options" - "Clear error" to be acknowledged.

1.3.2 Zoom in the graphic of the main-window

For the zoom of the diagram the left mouse button is used. First one induces the pointer of mouse to the left upper corner of the range, which one would like zoom, then with pressed left mouse button the mouse at right lower corner move. Here an example (the pointer of mouse is not to be seen unfortunately!). While the left mouse button is pressed, a broken rectangle indicates the selected range. After releasing now the selected range in the coordinate plane is indicated to the left mouse button. By unique pressing of the left mouse button in the diagram window the zoom shot mode is again deactivated.

1.4 Report
The report consists of a side and with the external software tool List&Label was provided. With the function "Report" - "Design" arbitrary report opinions can be provided. Here you can insert e.g. your Company-logo in place of the Coesfeld Logo.

With opened report opinion various assistance means are to you to printing, exporting and faxes at the disposal. The on-line assistance in the report designer is opened with <F1>.

In this window you define all necessary measuring parameters:

Description: Input field for order-number * Input field for order-position * Input field for pipe-number * Input field for pipe-position Input field for pipe-time Indication, when the pipe was coated Number of the used device (1, 2, ...) Text input of tester/inspector Value of the sample width (important for the tension-calculation!) Indication, how often the measurement was already implemented. Current temperature during the measurement. Behind this field you can type in comment to the temperature (e.g. tolerance). Input field for the name of the tester Input field for the name of the inspector This button opens a further window to the search for orders in the user order data bank (optional). Loads parameter from an old measurement Input field for the producer of the coating concerned Input field for the material of the coating concerned Input field for the charge of the coating concerned Specifies, starting from when the evaluation is to begin Specifies, starting from when the evaluation is to end The number of intervals puts firmly (alternatively: "Interval-time"!) With this window you can search order data in a customer-specific database.

1.7 Measure-results
In this window the results of measurement before opening the report can be controlled.

Description: Specifies, starting from when the evaluation is to begin Specifies, starting from when the evaluation is to end The number of intervals puts firmly (alternatively: "Interval-time"!) The temporal length of the intervals puts firmly (alternatively: "Interval-count"!) Value of the sample width (important for the tension-calculation!)

If in the input fields to be changed the text color of the appropriate value of black changes values to red through pressures of <OK> new values (the new values become) is taken over and the results again computed.

1.8.1 General Options

General: Language

Description:

The control language specifies -> after the conversion the software must again be started. Communication-Port The serial interface specifies, at which the PLC of the MTT device is attached. System uses memory-cards System loads measurement-date from memory-card Path for memory-card Drive of memory-card-slot Path for result-files Specifies the path for the file of the binary result files. Default zoom-factor for report-view Those specifies to zoom shot factor, with which the report is indicated when first opening. Maximum measure-time The maximum gate time specifies for a measurement. If the gate time reaches this value during a measurement, then the measurement is terminated. Number of handlings Defines the number of used handlings Password Password for this window Report template Specifies, which is to be used report template (only necessarily, if several templates are present). Device-Identification-Number This number is important for calibration. Do not change!!!! No measurement-stop on force- Normally the measurement stops on force-limit. If this switch is on, the limit measurement continues. Tare force on measurement start If this option active, the force will tare on every measurement start Database: Save results to Access-database Get order-data from database Stores after the measurement or manually the current results of measurement into an Access-database. If the customer has its own order-database, then the software can look for the desired order-data in this database over a search window.

Customer specific: Disable tension-values If this option active, no tension-values will show Tension-values in kg/cm instead of If this option active, the tension-values will show in kg/cm instead of N/cm N/cm

1.8.2 Calibration
This menu is only for coworkers of Coesfeld Materialtest. The entrance is protected over a password, which admits only in the house Coesfeld is.

2. Appendix
2.1 Help
In the menu "Help" gives it a menu option to "Operating manual". With manipulation this operating instructions file is opened. The installation of the Adobe Acrobat of reader presupposes.

2.2 Command line-options

When starting of the software some special functions can be activated by means of certain "switches": Switch:
