The Black Run, Aston Hills original downhill track, first built in the late 90s, and is still known as one of the most challenging descents in the south of England. Thanks to a series of trail updates over the last year, the Black Run is as challenging as ever, with its a mix of steep rooted sections, switchbacks and chutes. Average run time: 1 min - 50 seconds Difficulty:
Built and used for the southern champs in 2009, the 423 is Aston Hills newest track. Straight off from the start youre into one of the tracks biggest features, a 20ft step down landing onto the fireroad. Getting progressively steeper as it goes down, the track continues into a series of jumps, loose turns and finally ends up at the infamous J turns before dropping into the finish. Average run time: 1 min - 40 seconds Difficulty:

The Aston Hill 4X last played host to the Third Round of the National 4X series in 2003. Running through an open section of the forest, the track features table tops, rollable doubles, the infamous road jump, and a 35ft end jump. All the jumps are safe to roll, but for those of you with the experience, theres some serious air time to be had. Average run rime: 1 min - 45 seconds Difficulty:
DH3 is fast with loads of action and plenty of jumps and berms With bench cut ledges, two fireroad crossings and a whole host of jumps, this may be the simplest run on the hill, but possibly one of the most entertaining. DH3 is a great place to build your confidence and skills before you hit the other runs. Average run time: 1 min - 50 seconds Difficulty:

Cross Country
The XC course (including the Red Run DH run) Aston Hills cross country course is all action from start to finish, with Fast descents, testing climbs and technical singletrack that makes this 5 mile route one of the most popular in the South. If the 5 mile circuit is a bit too long, the top section makes a great short loop to build up your skills and stamina. Distance: 5.5 miles Average lap time: 25 mins - 40 mins Difficulty:

DH4 dives off the top section of the Black Run after the Bomb Hole and then it twists turns and drops down over the steepest section of Aston Hill. The track takes an almost alpine turn at the bottom, where it runs through a natural bowl to where it shares its finish alongside DH3, the Black Run and the 423 Downhills.
