European Union Data Protection Directive is the model for POPI. Many of its guidelines will probably be applied by the POPI Regulator. .
Legitimate interests allows exemptions for companies but not defined, the EU Directive does define and we will discuss.
Consent and Purpose. EU Directive Guidelines will probably apply, vital implications for marketers. Stating purpose will help marketers achieve consent but how will it be applied in practice.
