1.0 Heading & Documents To define the method of installing the CABLE TRAYS. 2.0 Introduction Cable Trays to be used (at the maximum height)for laying of cables from one location to another Cable trays normally Hot dip galvanized or power coated with the standard length of 2.5 Mtrs each. 3.0 Activities (Work Scope) 3.1 Preparation of Installation works 3.2 Installation of Cables trays. 3.3 Inspection 4.0 Reference Reference is made to the design and construct for ITC Trident project, its Outline Design Specifications, Outline Construction Specifications, and the Employers Requirements. According to the actual site progress, the Cable trays will be delivered to the site and transferred inside the respective locations. The unloading equipments will be by manually in the job-site from the lorry. Then shifting of the cable trays from temporary store to designated route for installation will be by manually under the supervision of experienced rigger.

8.0 Construction Equipment No major plant and equipment is required for this activity, minor equipment include as listed below are used for construction. 8.1 Welding machines / Drilling machines.(only rectifier and verified by ITC/ACIL

electrical mgrs.) 8.2 Spanners / Hand tools 8.3 Water Level and Plumb 9.0 Personnel The Project Coordinator will be responsible for all the construction activities in all stations. In each station one site engineer will look after for all activities. 10.0 Construction Procedure and Construction Method 10.1 Preparation Work Before the commencement of installation of the cables trays, the following are required to be carried out. 10.1.1 Prior to the delivery, a factory inspection (if required) should be arranged to ensure the unit or the components used are according to approved requirement. 10.1.2 Unloading platform, equipment access hatch and equipment plinth must be provided prior to the equipment delivery. 10.1.3 Check that all the allocated cable routes are ready with the supports and free from blockage. 10.1.4 Check work area is clean and safe. 10.2 Installation Procedure 10.2.1 Unload the cable trays from Lorry to unloading platform by manually 10.2.2 Please check the cable trays for any physical damage. 10.2.3 In case of any damage and suspected shortage take open delivery from the transporters. 10.2.4 Check the support provided for the cable trays installation with the following minimum requirements. Support shall be maximum at an interval of 1.5 Mtrs.

Support shall be painted with two coat of primer and two coat of finish paints. Distance between two tiers shall be minimum 300 mm. Separate cable tray support shall be provided for HT, LT and Control cable trays

10.2.5 Cable trays shall be place on cable tray supports as per the requirement which is to be properly clamped with the supports. 10.2.6 All cable trays to be bond together by means of coupling plates. 10.2.7 Cable trays bends shall be used readymade or site fabricated as per requirement. 11.0 Responsibility and Authority The Site Incharge is overall responsible person for installation and commissioning. The Site Engineer will be responsible for all construction activities at the site and will directly supervise through erection supervisor / skilled workmen the work at site and will also be responsible for controlling the testing activities. Quality Manager is responsible for the over all quality of the work carried out. 12.0 Quality Assurance
All procedures described in the SIEMENS quality plan

13.0 Health, Safety and Hazard Analysis The execution of works will strictly follow the safety manual and client safety standards. 14.0 Risk Assessment Form Annexure enclosed 15.0 ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) The work covered by this Method Statement is based on definitive design from SL, Inspection and testing at various stages shall be done in presence of employers representative. Various site inspection format as enclosed in site quality plan 16.0 Site Organization Chart Already submitted
