Decisions in Paradise Part II Decisions in Paradise Part II In my report the Hightower Corporation will analyze the process of decision making. In the first report Decisions in Paradise Alex and I was discussing ideas on how to improve

Hightower Corporations presence in Kava. Our organization will be the spearhead in helping and bringing change to the Kava people. This can happen by our organization bringing unity and understanding about the decision making process between us, the Kava government and the people of Kava. To ensure that the Hightower Corporation, Kava government and Kava people are on one page and stay on track Alex and I will be setting up meetings with the top personnel in these areas. We will need to evaluate everyones ethical stance on improving the island; we must also keep our stakeholders updated on our dealings on the island of Kava. We will have many hurdles to jump over, being that we are new to the island, it has many disasters, and we must learn the culture and the different beliefs of the people. There are also many children on this island so we must make sure we implement programs to help develop them. By expanding our organization in Kava and bringing new ideas to the Government and its people I believe that this move will be prosperous for everyone. Currently our process and progress has been a slow one, there have been several disasters that we have endured since coming to the island but we are trying to help the Government by implementing faster disaster relief programs. We will continue to analyze, address and come up with proper solutions to any problems that may arise. Having clear decision making techniques will help this process as we continue to develop programs. The Hightower Corporation will also use the diversity of the island to our benefit, by building a team atmosphere between everyone. There will be programs developed to encourage the people to embrace the diversity in Kava. Projects like this one will let the people know that

Decisions in Paradise Part II we are here to help improve the island not just make money. Showing that we truly care about

the people of Kava will give our organization the edge over our competitors. Organizations that do not manage diversity effectively will not be able to utilize the full potential of their worker, nor to survive and grow under increasingly complex and competitive business conditions (Wentling, 1997). To gain the trust of the Kava people the Hightower Corporation needs to implement training and educational programs that show our companys vision for them. We must continue to bring in the right people to build a rapport with the Kava people and with the Government. The stakeholders should also feel comfortable about our decision to expand in Kava. The Government of Kava, the people of Kava and Alex and I will come together and have some brainstorming sessions to ensure we stay focused and on task with the improvements. We will develop many unique ideas and develop many innovative programs with the help of the Kava people. One of the issues we may face is bringing the Government and the people of Kava to work as a team but being that Kava has a lot of diverse ideologies; it may not be too hard of a task. By having these brainstorming sessions with the Kava people it will help and allow them to explain their ideas, solutions and lets them know that their opinion counts. It may be difficult to get them and the Government on the same page in the beginning but the more sessions we have the easier it will become. To stay focused and on task the Hightower Corporation must help everyone understand our mission on the island. We all must find common ground on the improvements to ensure we are making the right decisions for everyone. We will continue to endure many obstacles on the island of Kava that slow us down a little such as horrible weather conditions, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, fires and avian flu. To be successful on the island we must continue to work hard to create the right type

Decisions in Paradise Part II of programs that will help bring awareness and preventive measures when it come to the health

problems. We will continue to use proven techniques such as brainstorming sessions, graphs and power point presentations showcasing our mission ant the concerns and solutions of the Kava People. Alex and I will so do extensive research on the statistics of the disasters and health problems in Kava; the research will also show how we have already analyzed the pros and cons of the programs we have already implemented. This will help everyone rest a little better at night and continue to build our rapport with the people of Kava and the Government. Alex and I will continue to work diligently with the people of Kava and the Government to bring awareness and implementation of our programs. Making the people of Kava feel comfortable with our presence on the island is only going to benefit the Hightower Corporation. Also promoting our ethical polices and our decision making processes will be beneficial to the organization. I feel that the our knowledge in the decision making process will help the Hightower Corporation propel to the forefront of the turn around and improvements on the Island of Kava.
