The Positive Coaching Model

This model focuses on using positive experiences from the client's past and exploring how these experiences can be used to help them reach their goals now. Instead of reaching their goals by "pulling away" from their fear they will use a more positive outlook "moving towards" their goals.

Goal
Drilling down to establish clear and concrete goals: Supporting the client as they break their business or life goals down into quantifiable and obtainable goals. Bringing awareness: Breaking goals down will help bring clarity to what they are really trying to achieve, as well as help shed light on which aspects of their goals they have the ability to influence.

Visualize
Exploring: How does achieving their goals make their lives different? Are there obstacles that the client is aware of that will make attaining their goals difficult? What creative ways can they visualize overcoming these challenges? How is this similar to past challenges? What can be taken from the past to support the client in the current situation? Inspiration: What positive role models can the client learn from? What values and beliefs do they share? What steps did they take in reaching their success?

Action
Moving towards their goals: Using their values and beliefs to set their goals into action. Finding positive solutions to their weaknesses. Staying motivated and energized: How are they going to be taking care of themselves during this process? Who or what will inspire them to stay motivated? What actions can they take to keep them fueled and motivated? What tools will help them?

Outcome
Reflecting and Reframing: Have the goals been achieved? Is everything aligning? Are there still challenges that need to be worked through? What is their outlook on new challenges? How can their new skills be applied to these new challenges?
