Term of reference Youth e-mentorship YSNAP

Background Increasing the capacity of young people is an investment for the current and future work of IPPF as the leading service provider for Sexual and Reproductive Health in the world. The recent annual Regional Youth Forum of IPPF ESEAOR has brought forward resolutions related to youth SRHR and one of it is to organize annual capacity building for young people. This is a very essential and timely proposal as the youth of ESEAOR have formulated a regional youth network YSNAP (Youth SRHR Network in East and South East Asia and Pacific) focusing on advocating for and providing SRH services for young people. Currently YSNAP is coordinated by a youth coordinator based in the regional office. YSNAP works on issues related to youth SRHR which include advocacy, campaign through social media, and capacity building for its members. Under the support of MYX Project from IPPF Central Office, YSNAP has been given an opportunity to develop its agenda internally to build the capacity of its members and externally to enhance the visibility of YSNAP in regional and international level .As part of building youth capacity in an innovative way, YSNAP propose to introduce an e-mentorship program. The e-mentorship program intends to create a link between youth volunteers above 25 years and current youth volunteers to exchange experience and expertise on youth SRHR. Objectives To facilitate and build the capacity of selected two youth volunteers from each MA to increase their knowledge on SRHR and advocacy To support youth volunteers work in providing youth friendly services for young people To mobilize YSNAP members through the use of social media To strengthen the capacity of YSNAP members to advocate on youth SRHR at regional and international level specifically on ICPD+20 To support YSNAP members to know more about governance process and advocate for 20% youth representatives in each MA in ESEAO region. To strengthen the communication between the participants so that they can know each other better. Particularly to build relationship between mentor and mentee. Mentor is young people under the age of 30 who has been acknowledged by her/his MA due to her/ his dedication as youth volunteer. Mentee is an active youth volunteer that will be nominated by each MA to build his/her skills To actively engage youth volunteers on Choices fund and other IPPFrelated projects at their MAs level Expected output: Updated knowledge from youth representatives which in turn can be shared with their youth constituency.

YSNAP social media; face book, twitter, and blog become more engaged by youth volunteers and serve as a platform for young people to share experiences and expertise. Enhanced YSNAP image as advocating SRH and rights, information and services for young people Reached out to marginalised young people who have limited access to information about regional and international work in SRHR Increased number of youth volunteers actively involved in Choices fund and IPPF youth projects in their MAs Participant 4 mentors selected by the regional office and regional council youth members 52 mentee, 2 from each the 23 MAs and 3 collaborative partners 52 mentees will be divided into 4 groups; each group has 13 young people.
