Across the world energy is being used at an alarmingly higher rate. This is due to rapid industrialization and increased awareness in the consumers. However, all this is taking toll on the fossil fuel reserves as they are depleting fast and their usage becomes expensive. Due to the depletion of non-renewable sources from the earth, people are exploring more ways to employ natural and renewable energy sources Energy is the lifeline to prosperity and growth of infrastructural development in any country. The energy thus would need to be ensured for its availability on sustainable basis. The demand of energy is growing at a very fast rate and the energy sources are becoming scarce and costlier day by day. In the power sector alone, we need to add over 100,000 MW of additional generating capacity in Xth & XIth Plans to meet the power on demand by 2012. This would necessitate mobilization of nearly Rs.8000 million investments by the year 201112 which is a very daunting challenge before the country. The main objective of this study is to find out the effectiveness of energy management and to know about the benefits of energy management. The researcher had done descriptive research for studying the attitude of the employee. A simple descriptive research design is used when data are collected to describe persons, organizations, settings, or phenomena. Sample design refers to the technique or the procedure the research would adopt in selecting item for the sample. Probabilistic sampling design has been used to conduct the research. Sampling unit is the basic unit containing the elements of a target population. The sampling unit of the study is only the producers of wind energy. The study contains a sample size of 100. Random sampling is adopted as sampling technique. It is also known as Non- probability sampling where each and every item in the population has an equal chance of inclusion in the sample and each one of possible samples in case finite universes, has the same probability of being selected. While purchasing turbines of wind mill, they should check the quality and it should be monitored periodically. Proper intimation should be given to the Electricity board, if problem exists on power grid and transmission lines. Proper maintenance should be there in windmill

station. Separate persons should be appointed to resolve this problem. Proper maintenance will stop the power loss on transmission lines and energy will be transmitted without any problem. Wind projects involve higher risks than normal lowland undertakings. Planners, operators, authorities, insurers, and investors should use a risk evaluation to determine the kinds of risks a wind turbine installation will face and the measures that have to be taken to avoid or decrease these risks. Additional costs that are related to working conditions, construction, and site access, can be limited with careful planning More work is needed, especially in estimating production losses and in developing countermeasures against small issues. The climatic circumstances at Coimbatore windmill sites demand high reliability of adapted technology. Particularly in Coimbatore, wind energy is not constantly energy supplying source. So the technology should be improved to operate the wind mills on low air circulation periods.
