In September 2007, few days after the death of the World Greatest Tenor, the Opra Maestro Mr. Luciano Pavarroti (1935-2007) I interviewed the last of the 15 young persons from 8 developing countries of the world. My interview was brief and straight to point. I find out from these youths, the minimum age they think is possible to excel to fame and make the best out of life financially. These young gentlemen and ladies gave me good answers that I cannot afford to conceal from my readers. Look at this, I think its possible to become great and rich at the age of, each of them said. 33 At the end of the interview there is something I took note in their responses. Each of them maintained that its possible to become great and rich at youth. As I laid more emphasis on specificity in age. I got the answers 24, 25, 26, 27 and so on. A big question arises therefore. Why is it possible at youth? Does it means that what the old can do the young can do better? What does it takes to become rich and great at 24, 25, 26.., let say? Must one possess special talents to make it? Must you be a graduate first before you can make it? Or are there special principles one got to have to make this possible? YES one got to possess unique features and the good news is that all you need have been given to you by God free of charge.

First of all, let know who is a youth before we step into the unique thing about you; why you can do better than the papas, mamas and so called big uncles. I Have No Arms, but I Have Faith One-child with horrible childhood is George Dennehy. George was born in Virginia, US but his parents were Romania. The year 2007 clocked George 12 years old. He was born with no arms or hands and this present his childhood as a horrific one. This however, is not a limitation for George to attain fulfillment. Guess what? George went about his normal life. He goes to school, plays football and writes his notes. Behind disability George has something great. George has extraordinary musical ingenuity. He plays violin in concerts with his folks. He is also an artist of transcendent genius. He paints more than any other normal children could paint. One day when this whizz-kid was asked how come he is so great. He answered I have no arm, I have no hands but I have faith. I find fulfillment because I believe in God and I believe in myself, he said. Believe in your abilities. You are best person who can achieve your dreams with your abilities. WHO IS A YOUTH? The age is which a person is considered a youth and thus eligible for treatment under the law varies around the world. According to United Nations General

The US Government view youths as those under 21 years of age whereas the World Bank reason youth as time in a persons life between childhood and adulthood .and in general refers to those who are between the ages of 15 and 25. In Nigeria a person under the age of 35 is still considered a youth.

Whoso neglects learning is his youth loses the past and is dead for the future. EURIPIDES (480-406 BC) Actually, what the society expects is not the age per se but a particular mindset. The world demands the qualities of youth; not a time of life, but a state of mind, a temper of will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease, remarked Robert Kennedy. The society expects you to be the future and the hope of humanity whichever the country you exist. The world wants you to be emblem of social and moral responsibilities and agency of positive change. WHY WHAT YOU CAN DO BETTER WHAT THE OLD CAN DO MATURITY IS NOT AGE, SOs GREATNESS:- It is a widely held notion in most societies that access to wealth and opportunities is very possible at certain stage in life, certainly at age of forty (40) and above. But I am saying something different. I want you to believe and stood on the ground that if riches and greatness cometh from God, you are at equal opportunity and at greater advantage of grace to acquire wealth and become great at youth. After all, age is not maturity. Maturity is not age, so is greatness and wealth. The measure of maturity is not accumulation of years but of experience and potentials. To be honest, the chances of success are greater at youth than in later part of life. That is the point why you can do better what the old can do. HOW? AT HEALTH ADVANTAGE World Health Organization (WHO) explained health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well being of an individual and not merely the absence of diseases of infirmities. Health is an asset. It influences your success and failure as no sick person can courageously confront life vicissitudes. He or she thinks about recovery not wealth, not greatness. He who enjoys good health is rich though he knows it not. Italian Proverb

Quite advantageous, an average persons health status is best at youth not at childhood when one is vulnerable to the six (6) childhood killer diseases such as polio, TB, Hepatitis, or old age when senescence presents the concomitant infirmities of old. At youth you can enter action with boldness, pursue your dreams, and chase opportunities vigorously. You are at the best physical advantage to stand in cues for long hours, withstand intense heat of tropical sun to get what you desire. That fresh blood runs in your veins at this period of life, means that you are alive with opportunities. You have health, you have hope. And he who has hope has everything greatness, riches. THE BRAIN AT BOILING POINT The intelligent quotient of a normal physiological, psychological human being is at peak during the youthful stage of life. People are more mentally alert at this stage thus can develop positive mental attitude needed to engineer actions of legacies and building a financial success project (FSP). When intelligence is properly developed it builds wisdom needed to start your success story. Intelligence enhances wisdom. Wisdom builds experience, and experience creates maturity. This is the reason why a boy of 22 years old with high mental alertness can accomplish more than what a man of 42 with low mental alertness can accomplish. In essence if

you properly channel your brain power at this peak period, you are at advantage to be a success.

MAXIMUM POWER OF CONCENTRATION Although wealth and greatness are fruits of achievement, they are products of concentration. Without concentration there is no success. Concentration helps wealth creation and without it is difficult to master the direction of greatness. It is an essential tool you need to claw your way to A mans greatness is not the top. Fortunately, the power determined by age. A person with great pleasure intents acquires habit of wasting resources instead of accumulating; potentials misuse instead of potential reuse. With such mindset, personality relevance is displaced by extravagance. You cannot excel when you continue to thrive in this atmosphere because it is repugnant to the principles of greatness and wealth creation.

HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO OPPORTUNITIES Just as people are predispose to dangers, they are also susceptible to help and opportunities. Its a cold fact that society generally has a natural tendency to assist young people. Someone is readily willing to lift you than to lift a full grown adult at 55. In most countries, today there are lots of policies and reforms geared towards helping youths like you and I. The international community is working hard, taking fast measures to better the lives of young people. United Nations adopted a comprehensive plan of Action at the Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This plan of Action called Agenda 21 was adopted by 178 Countries to be effected by government locally, nationally and globally. Chapter 25 Section 8 gave special privileges to youths as follows: Each countryshould consider providing youths with legal protection, skills, opportunities and the

support necessary for them to fulfill their personal, economic and social aspirations and potentials. I can remember one of the times I read the National Dailies. I came across 22 jobs adverts. 18 of the jobs are available only to people between 18-32 years of age (youth). Its privilege to be young. Often times opportunities come knocking all around you, some in disguise; others in clean clothes. It takes only the youth who prepares to see them. If you are not prepared you cant see opportunities.

He was one of the prefects, with great ambition. His dream of gaining admission into the University to study Accountancy was as big as the afro hair style on his head. He was studious and determined. Most times Justin worried about his socio-economic status. He pondered how possible his dream can come true, knowing fully well that his parents are poor. Affording a

square meal is difficult, let alone training somebody in the university. He has been very introspective. Three months later, Senior School certificate Examination (SSCE) results were released and Justin was among the lucky ones, passed 8 out of 9 subjects he sat for on a sunny Friday afternoon as Justin was still jubilating, his cousin arrived. The cousin insisted that Justin should travel with him. Justin happily agreed and this is how he happened to find himself in Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, Nigeria. Justin got enrolled in a computer training course which he finished in August, 2003. Later on, he started searching for jobs at least to raise some money to further his education. He has a burning desire to work and at last found one. He was invited for an interview as Janitor in one of Nigerian leading banks. But something happened. He had not collected his results as well as his local government identification letter. Even the computer training certificate, Justin has not collected. . Justin missed the opportunity. Is Justin ready to work? Has he prepared for opportunities? No. Whenever you prepare, opportunity will prepare for you. THE EXCITEMENT OF BEING YOUNG PROPELS. There is an excitement in youthfulness. The energy of the excitement propels success; it attracts, motivates and inspires. It attracts both negative and positive influences of life. But when the force of the excitement is properly tapped it would trigger the vigor that fertilizes success.

We are used to sweet smelling nectar that attracts animals to flowers, to pollinate them. The world largest flower, the Rafflesia from Southeast Asia is upto 3ft (1m across). It is also called the carrion flower because it produces the smell of rotten meat. This lures flies to it, and they in turn carry it pollen to other rafflerias and so fertilize them. The atmosphere one needs to become great and rich at youth is akin to flies looking pollens (joy of being young) to fertilize. Whereas fertilization is the blossom which comes from positive utilization of the excitement. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could do for themselves. ABRAHAM LINCOLN (18091965) Ridiculous as it were, most youths allows the excitement of being young make them forget not only the challenges they have to face in life but their role in their future. Thus negatively channel the excitement to cultism, drug addition, gangsterism, hooliganism and raise these defenses for poverty, unemployment and bad economy. This calls for a change. If you really want to be a success, change the perception and transmute the aggressive energy to success strategy, boredom to stardom, violence to excellence; so that you can see fame where there is shame, opportunity where there is difficulty, glory in the face of agony and prosperity amidst poverty.
