Humans first found out about tabacco plants about 18,000 years ago when migrant Asiatic people first spread across the continents known as the America. Tobacco was being grown by American Indians before the Europeans came from England, Spain, France, and Italy to North America. Pipes were used by native amaricans to smoke tobacco. They did not smoke every day but the main reason for smoking was for religious and medical purposes . Tobacco was first widely grown for money in North Amarica . In 1612 the settlers of the first American colony in Jamestown, Virginia grew tobacco as a cash crop. It was the main source of money back then , even the first Presedent of the U.S. grew tobacco . Their reason to smoke is mostly because is Cool and makes them feel more like a man . I have also found that even thou Malaysia is having a campaing tak nak rokok there is still lack of enforment . I have been at many public areas which have a NO SMOKING sign and I still see people smoking around the area. Even thou they are cought for the act and fined. It would not make much difference because the fine put on for smoking in a public is just RM250 which is not much and the same problem will reaccour. People will be still smoking in non-smoking areas. Public smoking is really bad and selfish. Even thou the smoker is distroying is health by smoking he/she are dameging the publics health in a even worst manner. By exhaling secound hand smoke which is even worst compaired to normal smoking . People who are exposed to secound hand smoke can get many desesis such as asthma, colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, and other lung diseases and many more. There are over 7,000 chemicals that have been identified in secondhand tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful, for example, hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, and ammonia. At least 69 of the toxic chemicals in secondhand tobacco smoke cause cancer These include the following:
