STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am _______ born in Sep, 1980 in ______, an area where the people are fond of liberty, faithful to their friends, kind to their dependents, hospitable, brave, hardy, frugal, laborious and prudent. In our area people are intelligent but the literacy rate is low because a lot of people cant afford expensive education and also there is lack of educational institute. But now people know the education value and its benefit on humanity, they sacrifice for education and take it as a priority for good future. I belong to higher educated family and know the importance of education very well than most. I am writing this letter in the hope of pursuing advanced studies in your esteemed university. Such studies, I believe, are indispensable for my future career development and will benefit me for my whole life. I believe meaningful life should be all about aiming high and working hard to reach that high. I had done very well in several examinations so always dreamed of studying in dynamic academic environment of best university. In Pakistan competition is so intense in Medical and engineering that if one misses his or her admission, he or she may miss the chance to enter in medical and engineering college in all life. With my tremendous efforts and confidence in my self, I passed all examination in first class and was admitted by _____University of engineering and technology ______. After entering engineering university, I chose ___ as my major because I had long been attracted to this area. In high school, physics and math was my favorite course subject and it was always a high point for me in at school. In _____ University of engineering and technology ____, I have opportunities to access the most advanced experiment equipment in _____and learned very advanced research methods, making me even more attracted to the field of ____ engineering. I have studied very hard through the four year in university and have build up a very wellrounded background in my department. As a result of my excellent academic record, in Feb 2004, I was awarded the merit certificate with medal, the second highest academic award of this university. Apart from the professional courses related to electrical engineering, our specialty in university cover a wide range of courses, including Thermodynamics, Telecommunication, Computer Programming and Architecture, Engineering Mechanics, Civil surveys and Communication. This type of coursed setting provided me with a good chance to get closer with the issues of electrical engineering. As per deeper knowledge of wireless communication I chose the GSM as my graduate Project. Wireless telecommunication may be said to be one of the newest research areas, and it is new concepts and new vision that give life to the industry. Understanding that good technical skills and practice experiences are essential to a successfully engineer, I joined ________as a Transmission Engineer and leant a lot about Line Of Site surveys, Transmission SDH and PDH Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Planning, Wireless Communication Equipment Use(Site master, GPS and compass) and configuration of NEC Microwave links. Company recommended me for different Training to improve skills to up to

date technology. In 2005 I joined ________________________ and got chance to work on Wireless CDMA Base station substation, Base Transceiver System, Mobile switching Center, Cisco Routers, Media Gateways and Rectifiers backup with Generators. My day and night hard work brings me to the good position in my society and proficient me technically as a Telecommunication engineer in field work as well as in engineering management. My companies referred me to the national and international Trainings and were awarded the Merit Certificates on different occasions for best field work. Besides spending times on studying and job, I have participated in variety of social activities. My capacities, especially technical, organizing and communication skills have been further strengthened through my leader role in the volunteer clubs. I preferred mostly to work for the comfort of humans and aware them about up to date technology and its advantage in human life. I value these social activities for they have given me opportunities to realize the importance of human kindness, working in team, all qualities that desired by best successful engineer. All these helped me improve my theoretic and practice, as well as gain a sense of responsibility and maturity. Realizing the limitation of my present scope of knowledge, I feel very anxious to further my study in my interest field of Telecommunication Technology. Electrical engineering is master key, which can be applied to many fields in our society. Since after joining the Telecommunication, industry has an urgent demand for such intellectuals, who will bring advance knowledge and skills to their institute, and who will make a great difference in this field because the rapid development of mobile telecommunication technology places a high demand on professionals working in this field. To a certain extent, it has to be a labor of love. My keen interest in mobile telecommunications emanated from the concept of personal communication. United Kingdom enjoys a world-renowned reputation in the field of Technology they have first rate teaching faculty and research facilities in the world. Its ideological openness and tolerance make a sharp contrast to Pakistan culture, which tends to tradition rather than innovation. If I can further my study in United Kingdom, that would lay a solid foundation for my future career development.
