A Synopsis of the Unknown, Elite 4 Grand Champion As a Pokemon trainer, I didn't come from any of the known continents.

I came from a smaller, unknown one. It was more well-known for its tourist attractions rather than the badge circuit that it contained. I grew up in the beach-side White City. I was an average trainer to start out with; ten years old, loved Pokemon, watched battles, played with the Pokemon at the Professor's ranch, and generally learning about Pokemon as I grew up. On my tenth birthday, like most trainers, I went to the Professor's lab to receive my first Pokemon. Professor Pine was the professor of my little continent, but he generally used it as a summer home rather than a permanent one. He went there as a quiet retreat to work on inventions.* He was a quiet worker, but he enjoyed the interaction with Pokemon, and vowed to create inventions to help trainers and Pokemon get together. When I entered his lab, I thought it would be the usual starter that most trainers got, a Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle. Little did I know, that he (or maybe it was a coordinated group of professors? He never did tell me the full story) had broken into an organization's headquarters to confiscate a potentially dangerous mutant Pokemon. He walked up to me with a smile on his face, and pointed me to Trikicat. He explained how they planned on using the extravagant type mixing in order to create a Pokemon as multi-typed as an Arceus.** Trikicat was happy to see someone, as though it had no knowledge of the organization's doing or plans. Like all new trainers, I had no experience in battling Pokemon, and having an unknown Pokemon made it even harder. As I made my way to the first city, Trikicat and I got along, but we didn't have trust in each other. If I were to tell him to dodge, or use an attack to block another, he would reluctantly do so. My little continent didn't have many fresh starts, or cities that stood out, as most gyms tried to mimic the standard continent counterparts in order to become part of the official league. The gimmick that our league was trying to perform, was that the the trainer and Pokemon had to perform a test in order to battle the gym leader (imagine it like a combination of the HG/SS PokeAthlon and a gym battle). The Pokemon would be tired out before performing a battle, but in doing so, would only get stronger after completing the gym. The three most notable cities were at the northern part of the continent, Mt. Vesper, Silver City, *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. and Sapphire City. By the time I reached Mt. Vesper, I had acquired, a decent team of a Pidgeot, Growlithe, and or course Trikicat; I also had a couple of new Pokemon, such as Caterpie, and Clefairy. When I reached Mt. Vesper (the fourth gym), I had a difficult time, because I didn't know that Trikicat could use water attacks.

It was about this time, that I caught the attention of the organization, or they possibly caught up to me. They had named themselves, Team Terror, and boy were they true to their name. They used Electrodes as bombs, used fire Pokemon to torch down buildings and trainers, used poison Pokemon to literally poison other trainers, and ghost Pokemon to as mind control and to give trainers nightmares in their sleep to keep them awake. They were incredibly destructive, and constantly gave threats to cities. The people of Mt. Vesper warned me about their deeds in the past, as they heard that they were looking for the exclusive Pokemon, Trikicat. They had created roadblocks on both entrances of Mt. Vesper, and tried to keep me trapped their in order to take Trikicat back. We fought our way out, Trikicat showed concern for the Pokemon that we battled, but I had no idea at the time, that it was because the Pokemon didn't want to do the dastardly deeds that they were performing. As I made my way to Silver city, the team scrambled to find a way to contain their secret weapon that turned against them. When I reached the city, I had acquired a Pikachu and my Caterpie fully evolved into a Butterfree. When we were at the city, we took some time to visit the Crystal Lake. It was named for it's impressively clear waters, despite being connected to the ocean and being incredibly deep. We performed in a fishing contest while we were there, but other than that, we didn't do too much of anything interesting (I mean, aside from gym battles). Sapphire City is like Castelia City, in which it is a huge bustling city. Albeit, because my little continent is largely unheard of, it was eerily shallow for the number of people there. We did as much as we could, but Team Terror had begun to leave threats to prevent my advance through the gyms. Me and the Gym leader there decided to take the time to find their HQ, and take them down. After interrogating one of the grunts, we traveled our safari zone. He had stated that they kept their HQ hidden in the safari zone bottomless pit; it obviously wasn't bottomless, but it was near impossible to see the surface at the bottom, or the bottom from the surface. We had elected to scale the pit during the day, because of the lack of light in the pit during the night. We had discovered the base by accident and we were originally captured. After a bunch of luck and preparation on the gym leader's part, we got free and completely halted their operation. Before we got to the head of the organization, we discovered their lab. Trikicat saw the experiments in the large tubes, and immediately destroyed them all; he must have seen a resemblance of himself being created in there, and didn't want it to happen again. We then defeated the leader, much to his surprise, and we called the authorities. He elected to stay at the building, to ensure none of them escaped; the *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. organization was destroyed after their arrest and we both made headlines for the news on my continent. After the incident, my Pikachu had gone insane; imagine it as a permanent confusion status. It wanted to breed with everything, it attacked everything, including itself, and it ate anything it could find (even inedible items). No cure, nor cause has been found, even to this day. Nothing interesting happened after the events in Sapphire City, aside from the appearance of a strange Pokemon. We never caught a clear look at it, but it was able to perform psychic and fire moves. When we completed the badge circuit on my home continent, we went to the Sun Hall. It was a gigantic dome able to house a city, and the premiere spot for tournaments, unfortunately, it was only a shell, as I was only one of a few trainers around. The Professor had met us as the quiet Sun Hall and suggested going to Johto instead. His buddy, Professor Elm, wanted to see me, and it was a way for me to get into the official league. I was able to bring my team with me and we traveled to Johto. Professor Elm was impressed upon seeing Trikicat more than the rest of my team, but it too was quite well-put together. I had a Growlithe, Butterfree, Clefable, Pidgeot, and Trikicat (Mind you I would have had a Pikachu at this time as well had it not go insane). I had also acquired my first Pokedex here; I would have gotten one on my continent, but Professor Pine wasn't able to get any there. We traveled the the continent as the video games do, Going to Cherrygrove, then Violet City and so forth. When I got to Ilex forest, we had discovered a Pikachu den. Pikachu were extremely rare in Johto, and finding this den was nearly a scientific find. I was a bit cautious considering my last encounter with one, but there was one Pikachu that actually didn't mind my presence, and actually wanted to continue battling my Pokemon even after it had worn itself down. When it had been knocked down five times, I asked it if it wanted to come with me, and get stronger. It smiled happily and allowed me to capture it. The first thing I did after capturing it was bringing it to a Pokemon Center. When it had awoke from actually hugged me. To commemorate it's strength, I actually gave it one of my first nicknames I gave to a Pokemon; Ryuin. With my new team in tow, we traveled the continent proudly and defeated the gyms quite solidly. I had acquired quite a few new Pokemon, such as Typhlosion (previously Cyndaquil), and Espeon, but I didn't make a lot of changes to my team originally. I had continued to switch out my Pokemon as I traveled to new cities to give each one time to enjoy the countryside. During my run through Johto, Ryuin showed a distaste for ground type Pokemon, and how he wanted to defeat them. I didn't know of a way to do it, and his strive to defeat ground Pokemon by himself continued until *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. So if Nintendo has finally instated a Professor Pine into one of their games, these are not the same Professor. Hoenn. Butterfree had become skilled at using powder-style attacks, and wanted to a way to use all of her powder-based attacks in one fell swoop. We had practiced, but rather than being able to do a mixture right away, we were able to mix the powders and create potions. I had also met a Raikou on my journey; I wasn't able to capture it, but it was better that way. By the time I finished the Johto League, my team consisted of an Arcanine, Pikachu, Butterfree, Espeon, and Pidgeot (of course Trikicat as well). I then went to the Kanto league to test my skills there. We weren't able to see Brock or Misty, but we were able to defeat the gyms. Both of the gym leaders said that Brock and Misty (the gym leaders that were supposed to be there) went to follow a kid named Ash. We quickly defeated the Kanto league without many problems, and we were able to participate in the Indigo tournament. I also picked up a few Pokemon such as Ivysaur, Kangaskhan and an Aerodactyl (surprisingly). The guards at the front said I wasn't allowed to use my Trikicat during the tournament due to neither of the guards believing that it was a real Pokemon. It had handicapped me one Pokemon (as I wanted Trikicat to learn from the battles I participated in), but I was able to make it to the semi-finals. I was defeated by another trainer that had some amazingly strong Pokemon, like a Latios. I had called my Professor to where I should go next, and he suggested the Orange Island league to have a little fun and to test my puzzle solving skills. Luckily, the gyms on my little continent had similar ideas, so it wasn't too foreign in terms of how they operated. Instead of any battles, they only performed tests. We got through the gyms quite easily, but it took some time to get from island to island; whether by ferry or blimp. When we got to Pumello Island, we wanted to defeat the league and become the champion there. We met Drake, and he had a look of excitement on his face, as he constantly talked about his battle with Ash; the last trainer to have defeated him. The battle was definitely tough, and my team was built as best as I could. I had decided to let Butterfree and Pidgeot sit out for the match, and bring in the Kangaskhan and Ivysaur I got during Kanto. I decided to start with Trikicat, being my starter, and in order to match the 'unknown Pokemon' Drake sent out Ditto. Trikicat was able to prevail, but only because Ditto began to get confused as Trikicat knew more attacks than it could handle. Drake complained I was somehow cheating, and in order to prove him wrong, I agreed that I wouldn't use him unless he was my last Pokemon. I sent out Ivysaur as my next Pokemon, and in response he brought out his Venusaur. I quickly switched out for *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. So if Nintendo has finally instated a Professor Pine into one of their games, these are not the same Professor. Arcanine and defeated him. Onix came next, and when I figured out it could use Dig, I switched for Ivysaur and defeated it. When Gengar came out, I began to fell apart in my strategy. When both Pokemon had super-effective moves to defeat each other, it was a poor situation. As a last ditch effort, I got Espeon to use Future Sight. I didn't think it would come, but after Espeon was defeated, Future Sight defeated Gengar. Four Pokemon down, I began to fall apart. When Electabuzz came out, I brought out Ryuin. He saw it as a chance to prove that he was the better electric Pokemon, but he got overconfident and made several mistakes. He was quickly defeated and I brought out Kangaskhan to finish Electabuzz. It was then up to his Dragonite, and I was quickly swatted down. His Dragonite defeated Kangaskhan with a fighting type move, Arcanine with a dragon type move, and then Ivysaur with a fire type. I was down to Trikicat quite fast. I had hoped for the best for Trikicat, and the two battled for what seemed like hours. Both of them had tired themselves out. Dragonite was able to get a hold of Trikicat and toss it into the air. When it landed, a large cloud of sand and dust rose from the stadium. No one was able to see what had happened, and I had feared for the worse. It was then that I saw a glow emerge from the dust, and a powerful beam attack struck Dragonite down. When the dust settled, everyone had found that Trikicat had evolved into Trikitiger (a Pokemon no one thought would evolve). I ran over to hug him, to find out he had mentally connected to me, and asked me to stop; the cheery Trikicat I once knew had suddenly become optimally serious. I had contacted the professor, proclaiming my victory, and asked where I should go next, he suggested Hoenn, and I promptly accepted. Because Ryuin had not learned how to defeat ground types, I took him, as well as Trikitiger, to Hoenn. Professor Birch was a rather jolly fellow, he gave us an updated pokedex and was glad to get us started in the new region. Trikitiger's seriousness had bothered me the entire start of the journey, but it began to grow on me as he began to show me some tricks on training. It started to get better when we reached Petalburg Woods. When Ryuin, Trikitiger and I entered, we heard some amazing singing. We could tell it wasn't a person singing, as there were no real words, and Trikitiger stated that there were no other trainers around. A note for the future, whenever Trikitiger says something, he is actually speaking psychically. We looked around for the source, and found a lone Pikachu singing to the indigenous Pokemon in the area. We weren't sure if it were abandoned or if was a natural Pikachu, It was afraid of us at first, but when we mentioned that we loved its singing, it was glad that we enjoyed it. We continually offered to *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. bring the Pikachu with us, but it refused to budge. Trikitiger announced that he heard about Pokemon Contests, and that she could compete there. The Pikachu's eyes lit up and expressed its want to be heard; Trikitiger was able to translate. We went through the gyms, but the longer we took to find a Pokemon contest, the more the new Pikachu got annoyed and began to believe that we tricked it into capturing it. I acquired some continent specific Pokemon (such as Mudkip), but none that really stuck to my team composition. We were finally able to get to a Pokemon contest. After the Pikachu performed, she had been glad to share her talent. We then decided to give her a nickname, she liked Ryuin's name, but I felt it wasn't feminine and cute for her. We eventually came up with Rya, and she immediately enjoyed it. Along the way Ryuin spotted the attack Leaf Blade, and he wanted to learn the attack. It took nearly the entire time across the continent for him to learn the attack. The experts said it was impossible, but his determination allowed him to figure it out and succeed. We went through the gyms quite easily, especially with Trikitiger, but the contests were harder for us. Rya's second contest, was a failure for Rya, as we had more of the experienced coordinators there. After the competition, we asked for advice, but were simply turned down. We asked one of the judges instead, and they gave us kinder advice. It basically consisted of what they looked for in the contests, and they pointed out some flaws in Rya's technique. We went to more contests and began to figure out what we needed to do in order to win the contests. We eventually made it to the Hoenn Grand Festival. At this point, my surprise for Rya was completed. After the first contest, I had called Professor Pine, and asked him if it were possible to translate a Pokemon's speech into a human's. He said it was, but it would take time to complete. We slowly made it to the finals, and when we did, I revealed the Vocal Translator. It was a crude version, where the vocal box had to pierce the skin in order to interact with the Pokemon's vocal cords, and despite the discomfort, Rya was able to speak like a human for the first time. After explaining the device, I asked her to sing the one song we heard in the forest; I also asked the sound booth to provide music. The song brought made the entire audience awestruck, they couldn't believe that a Pokemon, let alone a Pikachu, had just sang a clear song. The judges were amazed, and Rya quickly became a pop-star from her performance on the stage. Upon closer inspection though, they believed that the device was made to sing the song for her, and it wasn't her singing. In order to prove that the device was a translator and wasn't simply a music player, I used the device on *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. So if Nintendo has finally instated a Professor Pine into one of their games, these are not the same Professor. Ryuin. They reinstated our win, and we went on to win the Grand Festival. When we finished the Hoenn league, I began to learn how to trust my Pokemon in battle, and when I should let my Pokemon decide how to move, and when I should tell them to move; it quickly became the best and easiest way to battle with my Pokemon. I was confident in my abilities and began to take on the Elite Four. My first battle against Agatha was a hard one; and I did lose, but she was proud with my accomplishments over only a few years and gave me a complimentary victory. I felt it wasn't enough and wanted to battle her again. She declined my rematch and said that I should go through more gyms to complete my understanding with the battle strategy. I didn't know of any more, and she suggested Sinnoh. The Sinnoh region was a miserable time, but only in the sense that I was frustrated that I couldn't defeat Agatha the entire time. I felt that going through more gyms with my current team was worthless, as I was able to easily defeat each one with little to no effort at all. Midway through my Sinnoh journey, I was given a Pokemon egg. It was because of my bravery defending the Pokemon on Steel Island from the residual effects of Team Galactic. The egg eventually hatched into a Riolu, which quickly rekindled my spark for the Pokemon themselves, rather than the battles. I had nicknamed him Trace, because of the excellent tracker he was. When Riolu evolved into a Lucario, he had become well-loyal to me. When he saw Ryuin use Leaf Blade in one of our battles, he wanted to learn to become skilled with swords as well. I immediately thought of samurai, and got an abandoned Marowak's bone club for him; we carved it into the shape of a sword. Of course, as we finished the battles in Sinnoh, Rya became anxious and wanted to participate in the contests in Sinnoh. Once again, she quickly became a pop-star in the region, but this time, she had easily won the finals due to her popularity. When we walked up to the Sinnoh's Pokemon League doors, we had bumped into Cynthia on accident. She mentioned that she was heading to the Unova region for a vacation, and I asked to battle her before she left. She accepted, and we set forth to the arena. Cynthia wasn't particularly hard after I had figured out the solution to the problem from when I fought Agatha. Choosing my Pokemon based on how well I trained and knew them, I chose both my Pikachu, Trace, Butterfree, and Arcanine (with Trikitiger as the most notable sixth). I agreed that I wouldn't start with Trikitiger, and chose to use Butterfree first. In order to counter my choice, she chose Togetic. I was able to overcome her Togetic with Butterfree, but only barely. She was impressed with *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. my battle-style, and sent out Spiritomb. I tried my best with with Butterfree, but it was only able to slow Spiritomb down with its mixture powder, a technique we were able to complete in Sinnoh. I then chose to bring out Rya. Rya was able to captivate the Spiritomb and bring it into a 'loving' submission (not sure how she knew that would work). It was 2 to 1, the next Pokemon she chose was her Roselia. Rya tried to attack, but her weakness in actual attacks lead to her downfall (She's stronger in status effects), but not without getting Roselia paralyzed. Arcanine was the next up, and he quickly took down Roselia. Glaceon came next and it too was quickly taken down. When her Lucario came out, it was able to outmatch my Arcanine's speed, and take it down with Stone Edge. I had a feeling that Lucario wanted to take her on next, and that was my chance to set up one of the better match-ups. Trace and her Lucario had fought for minutes-on-end, sword to fist. The deciding blow ended up in a draw leaving me with just Ryuin and Trikitiger, and leaving her with just her Garchomp. She was impressed with my skill, and then revealed her Garchomp, I allowed Ryuin to show his skill in Leaf Blade. Garchomp wasn't a clear match to Ryuin's speed, but it was well-trained enough to catch him off guard and finally knock him out. I was left with Trikitiger, and upon revealing him, she was amazed at the sight of a 'new and unknown' Pokemon. Trikitiger was able to overcome her Garchomp, but even he was amazed at how well she trained her Garchomp. When we finished, she was proud to give me the Champion title, but because of where I originally hailed from, I wasn't the official champion of Sinnoh. We backtracked our way through the Sinnoh region to head to the top of Mount Coronet to do some contemplating. We had defeated the champion, but yet I still felt like we had not achieved the title. We felt like we became a champion of our own continent, which we had easily achieved by being one of the first few to go through the new circuit. We spotted something on the horizon and we were determined to find out what it was. We soon discovered that it was Spear Pillar. We laid down there and wondered what we should do next. If defeating the champion only gave us an honorary title and not a true point of stature, what would be the point in going to Unova? Whether in a stroke of kindness, or a stroke of anger, we had the privilege of seeing Arceus. He was particularly upset that Trikitiger was a 'creation of man', but enjoyed the commitment that I made to try and understand my Pokemon more than most trainers. He wanted to strictly test Trikitiger, because he felt that he shouldn't be a Pokemon, due to being a creation of man rather than him. We did *Keep in mind, I created Professor Pine (Terry was added thanks to Gemma Brite) during Generation 2. battle, but it only ended in a loss as I decided that Arceus was going too far, and it felt like he was trying to get rid of him, rather than battle him. He admired my courage to stand up against him and my love for my Pokemon. We then took the opportunity to head over to Unova, because the challenge against the other region champions wasn't for another year, at least. We got to the region, and I opted to leave Trikitiger behind for the ride, he wasn't mad, but he was curious as to why. I explained that it was to get better acquainted with my other Pokemon; he understood. I went through the gyms slower than I would have with Trikitiger, but we did pretty well. When we finished and got to the Pokemon League of the Unova region, we had discovered that they had gone to the Junior cup to entertain the trainers and watch the tournament. When they arrived, we were able to challenge them right away, and defeat them. They were impressed with my skill as a trainer and contacted Alder to come and battle me. We waited at the league, and when he came to challenge us, we defeated him. By this time, I knew that I could defeat nearly any league champion, and throughout my time through the Unova region, I learned to be peaceful with my battle technique, and go with the flow. ----I am currently awaiting when all of the region champions get together to battle each other to see who's the strongest, to full claim the title as the Grand Champion.---
