An animal, such as a donkey, ox, or elephant, used for transporting loads or doing other heavy work. alt: A semi domesticated animal that labours for the benefit of man.
Beasts of Burden are PlaceMakers wheelbarrows. There is the Ox, Yak, Mule, Burro, and Husky, and the Elephant and Camel are available as well. Beasts of Burden wheelbarrows (or Bobs barrows for short) are exclusive to PlaceMakers. Bobs barrows are a family of wheelbarrows that fill the serious needs for the builders of New Zealand. These Beasts of Burden span the range of requirements for demanding Tradesmen and professional builders. They are built to highest standard for wheelbarrows. The Ox is the flagship of the range of steel tray barrows, similarly the Yak sporting a plastic tray. The plastic is not brittle, it is guaranteed not to break in normal trade use. These barrows, along with the rest of the beasts, all exhibit the characteristics that will make this range the most respected in New Zealand, including great balance, handling and feel, durability, and a 5 year guarantee. Heavy duty rim with anti-pinching geometry that will minimise punctures caused by the rim when bouncing over obstacles. Rims manufactured from pre-galvanised steel so they will not rust High quality, double sealed bearings with precision ball bearings in cages. Rims with heavy wall machined centre tubes that ensure a trouble free life of hard labour. Inner tubes that are more impervious than natural rubber and stay hard. Heavy-duty tyres that are tougher than standard tyres and very puncture resistant.

Tray:
Steel tray is formed from 1.2mm thick pre-galvanised steel with a rod reinforced rim. It is painted with a tough coating. The trays dont rust, even after sustained abrasive use or severe scraping that removes the paint. They have a smooth lining due to their bolt free construction. The professional quality wheelbarrow with the largest flat base for stacking equipment and materials. The base is nearly level when the wheelbarrow is at rest and also when being wheeled. Front of the tray is spout-shaped to provide an accurate controllable concrete pour well in front of the wheel. The shape minimises segregation of concrete. The tray projects forward over the wheel to make pouring well balanced and accurate.
