AT&T EXPANDS NATIONS LARGEST 4G NETWORK TO DANVILLE

Customers Can Get Even Faster Mobile Internet Speeds on 4G Devices as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network

DANVILLE, VA, OCTOBER 4, 2012 The nations largest 4G network just got larger for customers in Danville. AT&T* has expanded fast 4G speeds** to Danville, where the majority of its mobile Internet traffic now runs over enhanced backhaul or the cables that connect sites to the overall AT&T network to provide customers with speeds up to four times faster than 3G.**

Customers can now enjoy 4G speeds** in Danville, whether they are in Downtown Danville, driving along the Danville Expressway or Riverside Drive. AT&T customers have access to the nations largest 4G network, covering 275 million people and now 3,000 more 4G cities and towns than Verizon. The 4G expansion is part of AT&Ts continuing network investment to support the growing demand for mobile devices, apps and faster mobile Internet speeds. Demand for wireless speed is growing rapidly, and we are excited to bring these super-fast speeds to residents and businesses in Danville, said Vince Apruzzese, regional vice president for AT&T-Virginia.

AT&T is the only U.S. service provider to deploy two compatible 4G technologies to deliver more speed to more customers. Even as AT&T continues to expand its 4G LTE coverage in 2012 and 2013, customers can get 4G speeds outside of 4G LTE areas on our 4G HSPA+ network, unlike competitors, where customers fall back to slower 3G technologies when outside of LTE coverage.
