Overview
B&R manufacture a range of products to suit various environments and locations. Some enclosures are suited to highly specific applications whilst others have been designed for a wide variety of uses. We call these multiple application enclosure systems. These multiple application systems are available with a wide range of accessories to better allow the enclosures to be configured to suit the application. The benefit of a multiple application enclosure is that you are able to order your highly specific requirement to arrive quickly and costeffectively, by configuring a standard enclosure with a range of accessories.
iLINQ is our newest multiple application enclosure system and is suitable for a range of applications including: Industrial automation Control system & plant construction Electronic packaging Information technology Networking infrastructure Telecommunications iLINQ is a bayable enclosure system that can be configured to suit a wide variety of applications. It features a unique symmetrical rail profile that allows components to be interchangeable whether on top, bottom, front or back. As part of the design process B&R has worked with a wide variety of industry experts to ensure iLINQ suits industry specifications and applications.
The enclosures are available in single or double door configurations and can be quickly and easily bayed together. A standard enclosure comes preassembled with frame, door, fixed rear panel, top (with eye bolts), gland plate system and mounting pan. If required as a stand alone enclosure, side panels or doors can be purchased separately. Once bayed together or fitted with side panels, enclosures are rated to IP55, ensuring limited ingress of dust and complete protection from low pressure jets of water. An extensive range of cladding components and accessories are available, and all components that make up an enclosure can be purchased individually, so that a solution can be configured to meet your exact requirements.

iLINQ is an Australian designed and manufactured, high quality, modular, bayable enclosure system, that is extremely versatile and easy to install. B&R developed the iLINQ range in response to demand from our customers for a user friendly bayable enclosure system which was both easy to use and cost-effective. Some of the key features of iLINQ are: Easy to order Easy to assemble Easy to install Flexible design Panel cutouts and paint any powdercoat colour (special order) Easy to order The symmetrical design of the enclosure system allows the same part to fit many locations. The easy to use catalogue clearly lists all parts and accessories for each enclosure size. All B&R staff have had extensive assembly training and are available to help configure your iLINQ bayable enclosure system. Easy to assemble iLINQ enclosures are delivered preassembled with front door, rear panel, gland plate system, mounting pan and flat top. All components can also be purchased separately for applications which require a special configuration. Cladding can be taken off and rotated very quickly. A door can be changed from right to left hand hinging in less than 5 minutes. For ease of installation, there are only 5 metric hex drive keys required 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. All fixings are hex drive button head set screws and taptites. M6 and M8 front access cage nuts and M5 taptites are used throughout the enclosures, at 25mm increments. Easy to install The plinth system allows levelling from inside the enclosure frame. One person can bay iLINQ enclosures together using hand tools or a battery drill.

iLINQ enclosures feature a unique symmetrical rail profile that allows components to be interchangeable whether on top, bottom, front or back. The enclosure is powdercoated with a light grey RAL7035 ripple finish. Other colours and solutions are available upon request.

How to order
Step 1 Select enclosure model size from Size Selection Chart (pages 7 15). The charts are categorised by height and depth (one page displays one height and depth with widths available) and is incremented from smallest to largest height. Step 2 Select cladding & mounting components from the range listed in the size selection column under the selected enclosure. Step 3 Select accessories from the range listed in the selected enclosure column in the size selection chart. Step 4 If additional information is required see dimensions section (from page 16 59) or contact your local B&R sales office. Step 5 Contact local sales office to place order and/or arrange for any special requirements such as punching or specific powdercoat colours.

iLINQ single door enclosures feature a unique symmetrical rail profile that allows components to be interchangeable whether on top, bottom, front or back. The enclosures can be bayed with any combination of single or double door enclosure widths. The heights and depths must be the same. Once bayed together or fitted with side panels, enclosures are rated to IP55, ensuring limited ingress of dust and complete protection from low pressure jets of water. The enclosure is powdercoated with a light grey RAL7035 ripple finish. Other options and solutions are available upon request.

iLINQ top covers are available in two variations flat or vented. Flat top covers are used for sealing the top of the enclosure and come with four M12 eyebolts for lifting (SWL 1360kg). They come complete with all fixings required for installation and two M6 earth studs. Vented top covers are typically used when the enclosure is positioned in a controlled environment and additional cooling air flow is required. They come complete with all fixings required for installation and two M6 earth studs (vented option does not come with M12 eyebolts). A gland plate system can also be used on the top of the frame, if required. Refer to page 32 for information on gland plate systems.

iLINQ adjustable gland plate systems are optional in enclosures 600mm (depth or width) and above. Gland plates can be fitted either internally or externally into the bottom or top of new or existing enclosures. The adjustable gland plate kit is supplied with an extruded aluminium frame and one set of 3 plates (2 fixed, 1 sliding) of 1.6mm galvanised steel for 600mm and 800mm wide frames and 2 sets for 1000mm and 1200mm wide frames. The sliding plate can be adjusted to form an opening or removed to punch holes as required. The plates are secured by serrated clamp nuts for effective earthing.

Metal mounting pans are manufactured from 3mm galvanised steel and are stiffened to support loads of up to 500kg. They are depth adjustable in 25mm increments and can be installed using slides that locate the pan into the correct position for mounting to the frame. Mounting pans can be mounted off any profile using the same mounting pan bracket and fixings. In bayed enclosure systems a mounting pan infill panel is available to fill the space between the mounting pans. The mounting pan infill brackets can be mounted on either horizontal or vertical frame profile rails.

iLINQ swing frames are used to install 19" rack mounted equipment which allows access to both the front and rear without having to remove or open cladding on the side or back of the enclosure. The swing frames are very robust, constructed from 76 x 38 x 2.5 mm RHS and are suitable for loads of up to 100kg when installed internally or 80kg when installed externally. A horizontal swing frame rail set is required to mount the swing frame which are available in widths to suit the enclosure (purchased seperately). There are two mounting positions internal 135 and external 180. The internal position is suitable for heavy equipment (100kg) and can be swung up to 135. The external position is rated to carry slightly lower weights (80kg), but swings out to a full 180. This gives unrestricted access to the inside of the enclosure. For 800mm and wider enclosures, a swing frame trim (refer to page 40) is available to suit installation of the swing frame in either the centre, left or right sides. The trim consists of symmetrical panels, a single panel for the left or right hand installations and two symmetrical panels for centre installation. The trim panels are constructed from 1.6mm zinc coated steel powdercoated mist blue (white) gloss and are attached to the swing frame using the fixings supplied.

For enclosures 800mm and wider, a swing frame trim is available to suit the installation of a swing frame in either the centre, left or right sides. The trim consists of symmetrical panels, a single panel for the left or right hand installations and two symmetrical panels for centre installation. The trims are constructed from 1.6mm zinc coated steel powdercoated mist blue (white) gloss. Trims are securely fixed to the swing frame and help direct airflow through the 19" rack mounted equipment. The trims also assist to make the equipment mounted to the rear of the swing frame secure.

A matrix rail is typically used for heavier or complex configurations. It can be mounted to the frame profile, to other rails and any combination of frame and rails in any direction height, width or depth. Accessories and equipment can be fitted to the matrix rails by using front access cage nuts (M6 or M8) or M5 taptites at 25mm increments. Matrix rail is supplied in 21 sizes in 100mm increments to suit standard iLINQ frame dimensions. Profile rails are typically used to hold lighter items in the enclosure and it is suitable for front access cage nuts (M6 or M8) or M5 taptites. The profile rail is self aligning and fits between the frame profile of the enclosure and is secured by M5 taptites. The profile rails are available in both 25mm and 50mm sizes to suit all enclosure depths only. A door rail is used for supporting any door mounted equipment and are secured to the door stiffener rail with M5 taptites. Door rails are supplied in all door widths. Profile rails and door rails are powdercoated mist blue (white) gloss.

The iLINQ hinged escutcheon is manufactured from 1.6mm zinc coated steel and is suitable for loads of up to 25kg. The escutcheon is powdercoated mist blue (white) gloss. It is supplied with all fixings necessary for installation onto the escutcheon rail. Vertical hinged escutcheon rails are required when fitting escutcheons.
