Why Blackjack?
Blackjack is one of the few Casino games where your actions and decisions have an effect on your odds of beating the house and earning money instead of losing it. Playing Blackjack without really knowing what you are doing gives the house an edge of 8-2% over the gambler (This varying on the number of decks played. The more decks, the casino has a better edge). This means that on the long run, you will lose 82% of the money you bet each round. Fortunately, back in 1956, an article was released, containing and explaining the "Blackjack Basic Strategy". This is a set of 'rules' the gambler should play by, in order to decrease the Casino's edge dramatically. This set of rules is based on complex statistical analysis, done mostly by computers. Playing the "Blackjack Basic Strategy" reduces the houses edge to about 0.5% (again, depending on the number of decks played. If played with one deck, the gambler will actually have the edge over the house). There are further methods of improving your odds which will be described in the 'Advanced' Section of this eBook. These are by far the best odds a gambler can have against the Casino! So let's start learning how to actually win at Blackjack.

face up from a shoe, or face down if it is a pitch game. A two-card hand of 21 (an ace plus a ten-value card) is called a "blackjack" or a "natural", and is an automatic winner. A player with a natural is usually paid 3:2 on his bet. Some casinos pay only 6:5 on blackjacks; although this reduced payout has generally been restricted to single-deck games where card counting would otherwise be a viable strategy. The move was decried by longtime blackjack players. [1] The player's options for playing his or her hand are: Hit: Take another card. Stand: Take no more cards. Double down: Double the wager, take exactly one more card, and then stand. Split: Double the wager and have each card be the first card in a new hand. This option is available only when both cards have the same value. Surrender: Forfeit half the bet and give up the hand. Surrender was common during the early- and mid-20th century, but is no longer offered at most casinos.
The player's turn is over after deciding to stand, doubling down to take a single card, or busting. If the player busts, he or she loses the bet even if the dealer goes on to bust. After all the players have finished making their decisions, the dealer then reveals his or her hidden hole card and plays the hand. House rules say that the dealer must hit until he or she has at least 17, regardless of what the players have. In some casinos a dealer must also hit a soft 17 (a combination of cards adding up to either 7 or 17, such as an ace and a 6). If the dealer busts then all remaining players win. Bets are normally paid out at the odds of 1:1. Some common rules variations include: Only one card for split Aces: a single new card is added to each Ace and the turn ends. They are thus regarded as 11-point cards. No other denomination is subject to this process. Multiple splits: If a player splits 2 cards and receives a third card of identical value, the hand can be split again, resulting in 3 hands. However, some casinos only allow a single split of the first 2 cards. Early surrender: Player has the option to surrender before dealer checks for Blackjack.
|Page5
Late surrender: Player has the option to surrender after dealer checks for Blackjack. Double-down restrictions: Double-down may only be allowed on certain combinations of cards (usually totaling 9, 10 or 11). Double-down after split: Double-down may not be allowed after splitting cards. The split hands are played normally otherwise. Split any tens: Players may split any 2 cards which are both worth 10 points, such as a Jack and Queen. This rule is rarely used, since 20 is a very strong hand which is unlikely to be split. European No-Hole-Card Rule: the dealer receives only one card, dealt face-up, and does not receive a second card (and thus does not check for blackjack) until players have acted. This means players lose not only their original bet, but also any additional money invested from splitting and doubling down. A game that has no-hole-card doesn't necessarily mean you will lose additional bets as well as original bets. In Australia for example, a player beaten by a dealer blackjack may keep all split and double bets and lose only the original bet, thus the game plays the same as it would if there were a hole card. There are more than a few blackjack variations which can be found in the casinos, each has its own set of rules, strategies and odds. It is advised to take a look at the rules of the specific variation before playing. Many countries have legal acts and laws, which determine how a casino game of Blackjack must be played. The push: When you and the dealer get the same numbers, you can either stay in the game and take a chance at winning double your money or take your money back and start a new hand. Insurance (Not Very Useful): If the dealer's up card is an Ace, the player is offered the option of taking Insurance before the dealer checks his 'hole card'. The player who wishes to take Insurance can bet an amount up to half his original bet. The Insurance bet is placed separately on a special portion of the table, which usually carries the words "Insurance Pays 2:1". The player who is taking Insurance is betting that the dealer was dealt a natural, i.e. a two-card 21 (a blackjack), and this bet by the player pays off 2:1 if it wins. It is called insurance since if the dealer has a blackjack, the bet wins the same amount of the players Blackjack wager, such that if insurance is taken and the player doesn't have blackjack but dealer does, no

money is lost. Of course the dealer can end up not having blackjack and the player can still win or lose the blackjack bet. Insurance is a bad bet for the player who has no knowledge of the hole card because it has a house edge of approximately 7%.[2] Even for the player who has been dealt a natural (a two-card 21) it is unwise to take Insurance. In such a case, the dealer usually asks the player "Even money?" This means that instead of 3:2, the player with the natural accepts to be paid off at 1:1. Thus it is exactly the same thing as buying Insurance, losing the Insurance bet and getting paid 3:2 on the natural. In casinos where a hole card is dealt, a dealer who is showing a card with a value of Ace or 10 may slide the corner of his or her facedown card over a small mirror or electronic sensor on the tabletop in order to check whether he has a natural. This practice minimizes the risk of inadvertently revealing the hole card, which would give the sharp-eyed player a considerable advantage. In some countries, such as Australia, no face down card is dealt to the dealer until it is his turn to play his hand. This makes the game more complicated since the dealer must keep track of busted split bets since if the dealer ends up drawing a Blackjack the players lose only their original bets and do not lose double or busted split bets.

That's all there is to it. Stick to these basic actions to improve your odds! For example if you get a 7 and a 6, and the dealer has an 8, you have a hard 13, and according to the chart, it is in your best interest to HIT. If you have an Ace and a 5, and the dealer has a 5, according to the chart, it is in your best interest to DOUBLE. If you have two Aces, no matter what the dealer has, you best odds are to SPLIT. This is a Multiple Deck Strategy Chart But it's still pretty basic, there are more accurate charts for specific numbers of decks and certain rules. In General, this chart will improve your odds dramatically, but if you're going to gamble a lot, and really want to hit a homerun, I recommend a chart that is more specific to the kind of game you are playing (4,6,8 decks in the shoe and so on). You can get these on various sites on the web, or from computer programs (but I'll explain about computer programs in the Easy Card Counting section). However, most casinos won't let you sit at the tables with lots of messy charts, but you can have a small one (about the size of a credit card), they don't mind and even sell them at the Casino's gift shops. You can get these on many sites on the net for about 5$ or from eBay at less than 2$ a piece. ----------"Why pay over $90.00 a month for Cable or Satellite TV services? Satellite TV for PC! the deck has a high percentage of larger cards, the player has several different advantages: You Will Be Dealt More Blackjacks You Will Be Dealt Stronger and Higher Starting Hands Dealer Will Bust More Often When a card count is high, the player bets larger amounts of money because they have a higher mathematical advantage (better odds). However, when then card count drops, you must wager smaller amounts, or even leave to a different table. Sometimes people believe they have a 'lucky table'. That is a big mistake. If you had nice profits from a table, the odds will usually change back the other way, it's not luck, its statistics. In most US jurisdictions, card counting is legal and is not considered cheating. However, most casinos have the right to ban players, with or without cause, and card counting is frequently used as a justification to ban a player. Usually, the casino host will simply inform the player that he is no longer welcome to play at that casino. Players must be careful not to signal the fact that they are counting. The use of electronic or other counting devices is usually illegal and almost always prohibited by the casino. As mentioned, I will describe a simple counting method known as Hi-Lo count. Hi-Lo Count: Hi-Lo is the most common balanced counting system, this means that if you count the whole deck with this system, you would end up exactly how you started: with 0 ! All you have to do with this system is to learn the following table:
2,3,4,5,6 7,8,9 10, j, Q, K, Ace count +1 count 0 count -1
As you can see, there are separate groups of card values. The 20 small cards (26) are counted as plus 1 as they are played. The 12 middle cards (7-9) are considered neutral cards and do not change the count as they are played. The 20 big cards (10Ace) are counted as minus 1 as they are played.
MoneyBookers - Your Internet Wallet! (Click Here) | P a g e 13
With this simple system, it's very easy to keep track. Let's say the cards drawn on the first round where 2, Ace, K, 9, 4, 5, 7 and 6. The 2,4,5 and 6, each subtract 1 from the count. The seven is neutral. The Ace and King each add 1 to the count. So we are left with 0+4-2= 2. The count is positive, so now would be a good time to increase our wagers. Easy right? This system is my personal favorite and there's a reason it's the most common system used in black jack teams, it's simple and effective! ----------"Discover How $15 Safely Makes $157.28 From 5 Highly Secure 'Place Bets' This Afternoon!"
Guaranteed Horse Betting Profits (Click Here) ----------This system only has one problem. Imagine that you have a +4 count which is a nice advantage. Or is it? If there are 4 decks left to play, you have a +1 advantage per deck. If there are 2 decks left to play, you have a +2 advantage per deck and if there is one deck, you have a +4 advantage. This is referred to as "The true count". According to statistics, each positive count, gives you an edge of 0.5% against the Casino, so playing basic strategy, at +2, you already have an edge against the Casino. Thats why you always need to take in consideration the true count and not the running count. You can also use computer programs such as this free blackjack calculator. A Blackjack calculator is a very useful tool, though the free ones, aren't known for their accuracy ;) The calculator will draw you a table like the basic strategy chart according to specific parameters you fill in. For instance it just figured out for me that if I was playing a 6 deck game, and 8 'number 5' cards had already been drawn, I would have a 0.235% edge over the house playing the specific table it drew for me. A casino will never let you use something like this, and some online-casinos forbid it in their policy, but it's a tool you should be familiar with. Online gamblers should seriously consider purchasing professional calculator software for online games, which will assure they will revenue the MAXIMUM potential of their wagers. This is a great Blackjack Calculator and Analyzer sold for 29$ This is another one. A bit more advanced sold for 89$

Picking a table:
Part of a gambler's strategy is picking the right bets on the right tables. If you had some good first rounds, with many tens, royalties and Aces, leave the table with the small profits you made when you Hi-Lo count is at -4! Don't hope that the luck will continue because that was your luck, and if you continue playing you'll end up where you started. It's time to move on to a different table. If you had profits although the majority of the cards dealt where Positive count cards, this is the break you've been waiting for! This table has a high revenue potential, since the good cards are yet to arrive! Stay at the table and play by the system. If you lose money on the rounds with many good cards (tens and aces), leave this table, don't wait for the upper hand, you won't have it on this table. In most games, the count will stay about even, you will have to play by the strategy, count cards, and wait for the right opportunity to strike (or quit). Never join tables if you sense the other players there are amateurs; this will distract you and hurt your odds.

Dealer Tells:
This is only relevant to a real live Casino! You don't have this benefit at Online Casinos (you have much better benefits online). On the latest James bond feature "Casino Royale", James Bond meets the villain "Le Chiffre" at a poker table for a game wagering about 100 million dollars (can't remember the exact number and it doesn't really matter). Le Chiffre is a mathematical genius and wins hands by calculating his odds, as opposed to his opponent's. James Bond is a spy and his gift is reading people's facial expressions and body language, helping him in calling his opponent's bluffs. Every strategy I've explained so far is Le Chiffre's style, based on mathematical calculations, and statistical certainties. The 'Dealer Tells' method is James Bond's style; it's based on reading people and requires a certain talent at it. 'Dealer tells' are subconscious gestures or expressions that a Blackjack dealer might make without knowing about it. If you can learn to spot dealer tells, you can greatly increase your edge in blackjack. Though some people will discredit it, the 'Dealer tells' definitely works and improves your edge if you use it correctly. One thing to keep in mind when it comes to dealer tells is that not all dealers will show expressive tells. You might play several different tables before finding a blackjack table with a dealer that has noticeable tells. One of the most common types of dealer tells is that the dealer accidentally reveals his hole (under) card. To pull this tell off you must carefully watch how long the dealer glances at the hole card and at what type of angle he bends the card at to be able to clearly see his under card before continuing game play. This tell has two common variations: Dealer has a stiff card (2,3,4,5,6) in the hole, and is required to lift the card a bit more than usual to make sure it's not an Ace. The hardest card to spot at first glance is the 4, and even experienced dealers might sometimes have to re-lift it. The opposite of that is obviously a high or paint card (8,9,10,J,Q,K). The dealer will need a very brief glance at the under card (that seems faster than usual), there is a good chance he's holding a paint card or a card larger than a 7. Shuffle Tracking:
Shuffle tracking is a very difficult and extreme method, used by pro's that if executed correctly, could give you a huge edge, but if not, could be disastrous for you. This technique, mainly applicable in multi-deck games (aka shoes), involves tracking groups of cards (aka slugs, clumps, packs) during the play of the shoe, following them through the shuffle and then playing and betting accordingly when those cards come into play from the new shoe. This technique, which is admittedly much more difficult than straight card counting and requires excellent eyesight and powers of visual estimation, has the additional benefit of fooling the casino people who are monitoring the player's actions and the count, since the shuffle tracker could be, at times, betting and/or playing opposite to how a straightforward card counter would. Arnold Snyder's articles in Blackjack Forum magazine brought shuffle tracking to the general public. His book, The Shuffle Tracker's Cookbook, mathematically analyzed the player edge available from shuffle tracking based on the actual size of the tracked slug. Jerry L. Patterson also developed and published a shuffle-tracking method for tracking favorable clumps of cards and cutting them into play and tracking unfavorable clumps of cards and cutting them out of play. Other legal methods of gaining a player advantage at BlackJack include a wide variety of techniques for gaining information about the dealer hole-card or the next card to be dealt. Card tracking is restricted when the casino uses a half-cut, or what is known inside houses as 'The Big C'. This is when the shoe is cut halfway, meaning that only half of the shoe will be played, so on an 8-deck shoe, only 4 decks will be played and thereafter shuffled. As card tracking relies on the principles of elimination, the half-cut makes it virtually impossible to eliminate or predict the remaining cards. Another exception to card tracking is the introduction of automatic shuffler machines, thereby making it impossible to track cards because the shoe is non-stop. ----------"Real Work-At-Home opportunities!"

WHY SO CHEAP?
Do you know every year, thousands of great bargain opportunities appear and disappear all around without you even knowing it. There are so many bargains! In fact, the person next to you on the freeway could very well be driving a near new car that cost only $550! Every year thousands of vehicles, are essentially "given away". Why? Some become the property of Uncle Sam through "seizure and surplus" laws. Because of the constant influx of goods and the overwhelming expense to store them, the government must get rid of them fast. This could mean dirt-cheap prices for you!
