Swimmers Code of Conduct 2012-2013 Training Camp/Gala


Swimmers name ________________________ I will: 1. Be supportive of my team mates and act as a role model for other swimmers, deal justly,
kindly, impartially and intelligently with my fellow team mates. 2. Be loyal to my team, wearing my team uniform as required by the team management. 3. Sit with my team and cheer them on during competitions. 4. Take direction from coaches and management team at training camps, meets and other activities and be punctual at all times. 5. Participate in all activities while on training camps and meets as planned by the management team. 6. Treat team mates and opponents with the respect they deserve and as I would like to be treated myself. 7. Display proper respect to coaching and management team. 8. Not take or touch anything that does not belong to me. 9. Conduct myself properly at all times and do not do anything that might cause harm to my team mates or myself. 10. Not possess, sell or take alcohol, tobacco, or non prescribed drugs. 11. Refrain from inappropriate physical contact. Conduct at Team Swim Events and Training Camps (Day Trip or Residential)

A. At no time will male and female swimmers be in the same room together without an adult chaperone. This applies to team members and members of other teams. B. No team member may be out of their room after curfew. Curfews are set by the management team. C. Any damages incurred at the swim event or accommodation will be at the expense of the swimmer or parent/guardian. D. No loud or boisterous behaviour will be allowed in foyers, lifts or hallways of accommodation and it will be kept to a minimum in rooms. E. All calls will be made on mobiles, credit card or call collect. F. If swimmers have any problems or difficulties, they should feel free to approach the management team in confidence where these problems or difficulties may be resolved. G. If there is a problem between two team mates, try and resolve it themselves .If they cannot they should discuss it with the team manager. H. If swimmers have any problems or difficulties with any of the management team, they should discuss it with the team captain or with another member of the management team. The team management has the authority to deal with all disciplinary matters and the duty to impose penalties. These may include withdrawal from further competitions or sending swimmers home. Serious breaches of this code will be reported to the Committee who may take further action.
