Bullying is one of the problems that a student can have especially if he/she is in grade school, high school or even in college. It can be stressful for them or even suicidal at some point. But at some point, did the bullies thought the effects on what theyre doing to their victims? Or did even the victims thought the reasons why bullies abuse them? Bullying can be a source of something that can be discoverable at home or even at a community. Thats why, bullying can be a source of emotional bearing that has a negative nor a positive effect on a victim. Bullying is a way for other people to show their superiority in a group. It gives freedom to bullies who experienced the following: insecurities, family problems (or physical abuse within the family) and peers. According to a victim; "Bullying, is a state of wherein a child/person is a target of physical abuse or intimidation by his/her social peers or in his/her social environment. Plus, suicidal tendencies, also include the decrease of self-confidence, the development of inferiority disorders. When everyone hears the word bully, most people think that its all about physical abuse just like the victim said. According to Samantha Hazel Sagil, a psychologist student from Far Eastern University, theyre four types of bullying. These are: verbal bullying, covert bullying, cyberbullying and of course, physical bullying. Verbal bullying is used when a bully calls their victim in different names publicly which is unacceptable to the victim and it gives humiliation as well. Covert bullying on the other hand is much worst because the bully spreads some nasty rumors to their peers until it spreads in a community which is not true that may damage the social reputation of the victim. This type of bullying usually happens to women especially to teens.

They tend to judge their victim and attack them by spreading rumors. This type is almost the same as verbal bullying. Cyberbullying is a way on how a bully use the power of the internet to bully their victim. In just a simple chat, their victim will be affected and scared at the same time because of the threats that he/she receives from the bully. And lastly, physical bullying occurs when the bully attacks their victim physically. Whenever bullying occurs to a student, theyre some effects that floats to his/her personality. Bullying can have a positive or a negative effect to a student. A positive effect will occur if the victim survived and he/she became stronger every time their personality develops and the situation that happened to him/her became an inspiration for them to be successful. If bullying became a negative effect to the victim, their self-confidence will be low and theyll develop fear, insecurities and anxiety. Dealing with this kind of challenge is hard especially for the students. To avoid this kind of situation, the guidance counselor must be aware of the behavior of each student and they must have a counseling to know if the student is dealing with some problems that can lead to bullying. Also, the guidance counselor must observe if a student is traumatized by the situation. Plus, the parents must be aware as well because the development of a child starts at home. If the parents didnt guide their child well, it may lead to bullying. And the parents must secure their child with love, care and respect so that theyll apply this until they grow up. Bullying is not that easy to solve. But if the parents will supervise and help their child, then they wont bully other kids. Bullying is a tough challenge to face and if the counselors and the parents did their job well, these kids will be successful, strong and full of confidence to face the world until they grow up as a real man or woman in the future.
