Small businesses exist in almost all economic fields.

These companies, according to economic parameters, have little volume of business, a small amount of invested capital and small number of employees. Small companies are structure fit into the economic space that are not covered by large andmedium-sized enterprises. Small business companies increase the level and extent of use of new resources of an economy with a high degree of flexibility and adaptation to new market, legal and other conditions. The problem and challenge is fortunate that this company is described in the homework as the first problem is starting out with little cash, and the other is setting the wrong price. The company, which was taken as an example of this work is Sweet Home. Sweet Home was founded in 1997 by the Dragia Miljkovic, an enthusiast with entrepreneurial spirit who had been working for 15 years in the fruit processing industry before he founded Sweet Home. Since then, the company has become one of the biggest exporters of fruit from Serbia, constantly seeking new opportunities to develop.

Sweet Home is located in the center of the region rich fruit, the "roof of Serbia, on the slopes of Mount Kopaonik, where all the fruit plantations are located within 50km of cold storage.

The region is rich in cherry, raspberry, blackberry, plum, apple and blueberry. Fruit is grown at an altitude of 300m to 1100m, which gives a long season of fruit, allowing us great flexibility in production. Fruit is grown in a very clean environment, on the southwest side of the mountain Kopaonik with a large number of sunny days per year, making the fruit in our region of the sweetest in Serbia. The first problem that emerged at the beginning of operations of the company's lack of monetary investment. The owner of this company has not invested enough money in the machines which were necessary for the process of processing fruit. Because of the existing machines that were not modern, the production process is carried out slowly, which adversely affected the revenue. Later they acquired modern machinery for processing fruit that accelerated the production process which has contributed to increased revenues. Another problem that emerged in the business of this company is setting the wrong price. The key to success of this company is in close cooperation with growers in the region in which the company operates. The problem was the fact that the fruit growers paid the minimum purchase price for the fruits that are sold, and therefore fruit vendors sell their products to other refrigerators, which did not work out in favor of the company. Management of this company realized that if they wanted to remain competitive in the market, they had to give farmers a higher price for their products. That they did, thereby contributing to greater purchase, and then placing those same products on the market for higher price. Milos Deljanin 76 / 09
