FIRST Scholarship

Scholarship Description
In support of the FIRST mission, Case Western Reserve University is offering two scholarships (merit or need based) of $10,000 to high school seniors who have participated on a FIRST team during high school. This scholarship may be utilized for any undergraduate course of study at Case Western Reserve University. The scholarship is renewable up to a total of $40,000 over four years in equal installments, contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Each recipient must meet all regular academic requirements for admission to Case Western Reserve University.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must: Be a senior in high school Have participated at least one full season during high school on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team. Apply and be admitted to CWRU as a full time student. (Regular Decision admission deadline is January 15, 2013, however, you do not need to have been admitted at the time you apply for this scholarship, only to have applied.)

Scholarship Application Package Contents


To apply for the CWRU FIRST Scholarship, complete the application package, including: A completed CWRU FIRST Scholarship Application to be completed online at http://admission.case.edu/financialaid/scholarships.aspx A 500 word essay regarding your FIRST experience and your career goals submitted online with your application A letter of recommendation from an adult mentor/coach on your FIRST team

Submission of Scholarship Application


The completed FIRST Scholarship application must be completed online no later than January 15, 2013 Letters of recommendation should also be mailed, no later than January 15, 2013, to:
