Ansys
Introduction
There was a time when complex design problems would led many engineering projects to vanish and in lack of proper visibility of the product, there used to be huge manufacturing and assembly errors and in many case product would totally be different from their intended designs thus creating huge problems for designers. While in recent year after CAD & CAM a new revolution has provided engineering & research with new dimensions adding sophistication & ease to the methods of designing by making the process less time taking, cost effective, capacity to increase productivity ,product visibility ,product behaviour prediction and adding accuracy as well as precision to it. That is Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). In this workshop, we will learn about such CAE software, Ansys, which has increasingly being used by various industries and now, has become an essential part of engineering. We explore the techniques of product analysis, design iterations, solving dynamic & complex design problems and find the ways to develop the best design using CAE with a practical approach through this workshop.

Cloud
(Workshop on Cloud Computing)

About Workshop
In the past, computing tasks such as word processing were not possible without the installation of application software on a user's computer. A user bought a license for each application from a software vendor and obtained the right to install the application on one computer system. Cloud computing differs from the classic client-server model by hosting applications on a server and they being used and managed by a client's web browser, without any need of installation of client version of an application. Centralization gives cloud service providers complete control over the versions of the browser-based applications provided to clients, which removes the need for version upgrades or license management on individual client computing devices.

I.T. INFRASTRUCTURE - Beyond the Routers

About Workshop
Everybody today aspires to work with the Software Giants like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and plans to pursue various Specializations courses like B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech. The aspirants main focus is towards Web Application Code Development, while being a part of these Software Giants. But beside Web application Code Development, there is another niche area being catered to by these Software Giants -IT Infrastructure Management Talking about IT Infrastructure, we are reminded of the Routers, Switches etc., but IT Infrastructure of any IT Company is much more than this. Besides involving the use of these sophisticated devices, it also involves some more important components which play a vital role while traversing through the Internet. With the help of this Workshop, we intend to make B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech students aware of these components like Firewall, IPS (Intrusion Prevention Device), VPN Device etc. Alongside this Conceptual Overview, this workshop would also help the students to understand that how they can prevent the Corporate Network from being hacked. Social Engineering
(Workshop on Social Engineering Management)

About Workshop
Social engineering is the technique of circumventing technological and physical security measures by manipulating people to disclose crucial authentication information. Social engineering, in the context of security, is understood to mean the art of manipulating people into performing actions or divulging confidential information. While it is similar to a confidence trick or simple fraud, it is typically trickery or deception for the purpose of information gathering, fraud, or computer system access; in most cases the attacker never comes face-toface with the victims. "Social engineering" as an act of psychological manipulation had previously been associated with the social sciences, but its usage has caught on among computer professionals .

Mutual Funds and Financial Derivative Markets

About the Workshop
Not all investors may be in a position to undertake fundamental and technical analysis before they decide about their investment options. Neither have they had the resources nor the expertise to do so. Instead of direct investing, the investor those who are small investor may go for indirect investing through MUTUAL FUND. Instead of becoming shareholder, or a bondholder of a company, these investors would become unit holder of mutual fund. When an investor invests in shares, debentures or other securities, he invariably runs the risk of increase or decrease in the market price of these investments. There is always the risk of capital loss to investor. What is required, therefore a hedging mechanism for the investor. Derivative contracts provide risk-hedging mechanisms in Varity of ways. Derivatives are the agreement whose value depends on the value of some underlying assets This workshop aims to impart basic knowledge about the Mutual Funds.
