IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR) IN THE CONDUCT OF THE NAC-DOWN


(NON-ACADEMIC COMPETITIONs-SHOWDOWN)
IRR 1.0 IRR 1.1 General Guidelines This is open to all members of NFJPIA 2011-2012. There are three (3) categories in this event. These are:

NFJPIAn XFACTOR (singing contest) BEAT-Be Extreme Above Them. (pop dance contest)* LINE-UP. (impersonating competition) *this is a Local Chapter competition. All participants must be in their expected attire during the contest proper. applicants is not allowed.

IRR 1.4 No changing of contestants after the due date of submission of entries and walk-in IRR 1.5 Winners will be honored in the awards night. Only the top three (3) of each event will be rewarded. IRR 1.6 In case of any concern, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR, the chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to decide on matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event. His decision is final and non-appealable. IRR 2.0 IRR 2.1 Fill-up Requirements softcopy application-form with decent picture attached and send to nfjpia.vpnonacademic@yahoo.com on or before, March 16, 2012 with the Subject: region#-nacdownreqs with the filename: <category>-<name>. IRR 2.2 Accompanying music or sound effects must be placed in a CD with region#/name/song#. (Give it and ask assistance in the technical before the contest proper). IRR 2.3 Recommendation letter from the Regional Council President or the Regional Vice President for Non Academics that the candidate(s) is (are) true representation of their council.

IRR 3.2 Contestants must meet the Chairman of the event for drawing of lot on the first day of the IRR 3.3 Total duration of performance is good for a maximum of three (3) minutes but not less than two (2) minutes time exclusive of entrance and exit. Time begins when music starts or words have been spoken. IRR 3.4 Excess of the time allotted will result in a point five (0.5) deduction in every 10 seconds, i.e. less than 10 seconds excess time will consider 10 seconds. IRR 3.5 Use of props is allowed however, any considered hazardous weapon (i.e. sharp/bladed objects, explosives and the like) is strictly prohibited. IRR 3.6 Medium of expression/music can either be in full English, full Filipino or both. IRR 3.7 No jury will give a less than of 50 accumulated points. IRR 3.8 Judges decision is final and non-appealable. IRR 4.0 NFJPIAn XFACTOR male. IRR 4.2 A singing competition with a twist which the local dialect called the Biritan must be performed. Thus, the event calls for all singers who are energetic and dynamic in singing high notes of a song. IRR 4.3 Singing acapella or with live accompaniment is prohibited and only minus one is allowed. Example, 500 is the highest and 450 is the second highest i.e. 9 points [(450500) 10]. The deadline for FB likes is on the 12 noon of the first convention day. Contestants must submit a video rundown for 2-3 minutes time of their performances on the given due date. BEAT-Be Extreme Above Them!

IRR 5.1 Each regional council can only send one (1) participating group in this event with 6-15 persons, a group of all female, all male or mix. IRR 5.2 A pop dance showdown of choreography amongst regions. Deadly acts are not allowed and may deem disqualification by the group (e.g. multiple tumbling, throwing and the like). Accompanying song/music depends on the performers discretion. IRR 6.0

LINE-UP

IRR 6.1 Each regional council can send a participant or a pair in this event. It can either be both female, both male and both male and female. IRR 6.2 This event aims to showcase the talent of entertainment through impersonating famous icons across the country. It can be in show business, public affairs, and sports or the like. IRR 6.3 The performance must be in accordance with the person whom to imitate for the audience to identify easily. IRR 6.4 Use of malicious/harsh phrases, sentences or words will not be allowed and will earn no point. IRR 6.5 There will be a buzz sound after the performance time. IRR 6.6 The presentation will be judged according to the following: Criteria for judging (in points):
