Final Major Project

I want to work with illustration and print with a focus on design for children. I want to look at what children respond to in relation to colours, sensations such as touch and sound within design. I want to work with surface pattern and illustration, looking at applying it to a range of possible outcomes and products such as upholstery, wallpaper, stationary, greetings cards, books etc.

DESIGN DISCIPLINES What areas of graphic design practice do you intend to investigate in relation to the practical and conceptual production / distribution of work in response to selected briefs -Applying illustration to a range of visuals and design outcomes. -The way that children interact and react with different sense within visuals and reading, including colour, sounds, textures and shapes. -The layout and visual hierarchy within books and book covers.

DESIGN SKILLS What practical design skills do you intend to further develop and apply during your final major project. What do you intend to use the skills for.
