Sentences should be easily understood, strait forward, and to the point. The information avoids using technical terminology or jargon that is easily misunderstood; we want to be able to tend to a vast audience. The material we give is clearly delivered and relevant to the topic. We do not want readers to assume any details or come to different conclusions. Irrelevant information should be avoided at all cost. Sentences should be complete, with correct spelling and grammar usage. Business writing calls for a formal style were formatting is crucial. Punctuation should be simple and kept at a minimum. The writing used is similar to an advertisement on a TV infomercial. The information given is projected in a way that captures the attention of the audience and persuades the reader. This includes proper heading and bold emphasis. Similar techniques may be used to capture the attention of the audience. Key points are emphasized and reiterated in the conclusion to refresh the knowledge of the material to the reader.

Summary: Business writing is a blunt style that should be written in a professional manner. The goal is to capture the attention of the reader and articulate the information in a concise manner; that is easily understood. The first few sentences should be capable of summarizing your full argument, then supported by details to strengthen

your argument. Finally, the main points are reiterated to reinforce the statement of the main details. Do not forget proper sentence structure, correct grammar, and spelling.
