SB 541, effective September 1, 2005, provides that appraisal district websites cannot display photographs, sketches, or floor plans of an improvement to real property that is designed primarily for use as a human residence. Likewise, aerial photography of residential property will also be unavailable unless the photo depicts five or more separately owned buildings. Kleberg County Appraisal District has taken the position that it will not provide any sketches or photographs of improvements of any type of property due to the possibility of residential improvements being part of a background, therefore, placing the appraisal district out of compliance with Senate Bill 541. Please be informed however, that you will still be able to obtain or view the information in our office located at 502 E. Kleberg in Kingsville, Texas.
