Teachers strategically utilize a variety of assessments to generate data that can be used to monitor student learning and plan instruction. Systematic analysis of assessment data allows teachers to correlate appropriate instructional and differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all students. Student engagement and understanding is monitored and, if necessary, adjustments to instruction are made while teaching.
