1. Apologies: 3. Presidents report (Kelly Lohr): 3.1. 3.2. Welcome Back University News 5.2.1. Innovation Center - was announced by IIT and the City of Chicago. Will be built and serve as the idea shop instead of the building in tech park. 5.2.2. One Stop Shop - was opened in IIT (next to commons) after a request appeared in VoteBox last semester 5.2.3. FLP: Spanish Class - is in session, a result of SGA work and efforts for around 4 years. Soonen, Dorian and Sarah Lim are taking the class. 3.3. 3.4. SGA Hoodies! - Are in! Due to SAF rules we can only cover a portion of the price, the hoodies are only $13.50. Come get them from OCL! New Website - are Kellys work for the past year, it is now updated and houses all three branches of SGA under one roof. 5. Vice President of Student Life report (Rani Shah): 5.1. 5.2. 5.3. 5.4. Smaller Projects This Year US Presidential Election! - we feel that SGA should push for political involvement beyond IIT. We will host an event to encourage students to get involved by voting. F.A.B. Keating Shenanigans - check VoteBox for Keating issues, report to me if you see more

6. Subcommittee report: 6.1. Last Year 8.1.1. Foreign Language Program - has started in IIT, this semester we have Spanish. 8.1.2. TA Evaluations - you can go online and rate your TAs at any time throughout the semester. This will allow the professors to address issues related to TA performance and adequacy. 8.1.3. Academic Survey 6.2. Ongoing 8.2.1. Summer UPass - Trying to get a UPass approved for summer students. 8.2.2. Reading Week - Is a week with no homework or classes before finals week to allow you to study for finals. We are working to integrate this change in the academic calendar. 8.2.3. Faculty Mixer - We are working on a faculty mixer with senate. 7. Vice President of Communications report (Dorian Karter): 7.1. Last Year 9.1.1. VoteBox - initiated VoteBox which allows students to submit their 9.1.2. Suggestion Boxes - will be spread around campus in the coming weeks 9.1.3. Tech News Articles - Our senator Utsav Ghandi wrote multiple articles for TechNews. 9.1.4. President and Provost Forum - We had two forums where the President and Provost answered questions by students at the forum.

9.1.5. Worked on Student Forum - We ended up abandoning the project due to a similar feature in Facebook. Do you use the Facebook groups, or do you still think it would be better to have one site for all of IIT? 7.2. This Semester 9.1.1. Improve Communication on VoteBox - Our main goal this semester is to take control of the massive adoption for VoteBox and make sure to respond to all student requests 9.1.2. Ticket System for Most Offices - We want to have a ticket system implemented for most IIT offices that interact with students over email. The ticket system can be possibly replicated from OTS. 9.1.3. Direct VoteBox for Each Office - We will add sections in VoteBox to be monitored by certain offices/departments in the school. This will save us work by allowing the offices to respond directly to students. It will free up time for bigger projects. 9.1.4. Podcast or IIT TV for IIT News - we want to have a more interactive and current news medium for IIT.

8. Vice President Report (Matt Otten): 8.1. 8.2. 8.3. 8.4. Nominations! - tell your friends, nominate them, nominate yourself! Nominations close September 18th. Election September 25th. SGA Week Thursday is Student Discount Fair - Vendors from our student discount program will be on campus for free food. Constitution Changes

9. New Student Orgs 9.1. GlobeMed (Approved 11 yes, 1 no) 9.1.1. Like Engineers Without Borders but for Med students 10. Old Business 10.1. Veto - Presidential Scholars (Tabled) 10.1.1. Changed their constitution to allow ALL student to take an exec position 10.1.2. Senate: Cannot see how this will benefit the student body. They need to do the activities they want to propose for anyway as part of their scholarship program. Why do they need to be an approved student org? Should be handled by their program just like Cameras and Leadership Academy for consistency.

10.1.3. Next: Contact Jerry Doyle - responsible for the program 10.1.4. Veto tabled. Will bring org to senate again to 10.2. Chief Justice Appointment 10.2.1. Subhi got an internship in San Francisco and can no longer fulfill this position. Kelly is serving as temporary Chief Justice and is looking for someone to fill this position. 10.3.
