We use the zero conditional to talk about facts or situations that are always true. In the condition, we use: if + simple present. In the result, we also use the simple present. If you recycle, there is no garbage If you eat early you have more energy during the day. If I wake up late I am late to school. We use the first conditional to talk about very probable situations. In the condition we use: if + simple present. In the resul we use will and the verb. If aunt Kay sees all these plastic bags, she will be angry. If you study hard you will pass the exam If the teacher sees you are playing she will get angry.

May, might and should are modals. We use may and might to express possibility. This is when we are not certain about a situation.

We use should to give advice.

Past Continuous
The Past Continuous is used when talking about something that was in progress at a particular time in the past. e.g. They were dancing when I arrived at the hotel. We form the past Continuous from the past tense of be (was/were) + ing form.

Sometimes a continuous event (running, Reading, eating) is interrupted by a one-time event. In these cases we use the past continuous and the past simple. I was waiting for him when my mom called me. When + past continuous and while/ when + past simple
