looking for? Are they the same as a custodian? What about a maintenance person? You need to identify what traits, attitudes, personalities each position requires and look for these traits when making a hire.

What was the last contest you won? How did you win it and how did it make you feel?

When was the last time you had to learn a new program on a computer? What was it and how were you able to learn to use it? Understands Money: They are able to take and receive
money from the customer.

Tell me about a time when a customer stated you gave them the wrong change? What was the situation? How did you handle it? What have you done so it doesnt happen again?

If you have a candidate that cant reply to these

questions they may not be the right candidate for the position. A common answer is I have never had that. Then you can have them relate the question to a personal situation or adjust the question slightly. Wait for a reply. Give them time to think of a situation.

prove that they can do it while still being monitored. A simple phrase to remember training is to have the new hire.
