General Information:
Course Description
The purpose of the KNX Basic Course is to provide participant information about the below chapters in KNX (EIB) Systems: System argument Communication Topology Bus devices Installation Telegram Powerline Planning Commissioning Diagnostic

At the end of the training, the participant will have the knowledge to design, to implement, to commission, and to trouble shoot, basic home & office automation networks, through KNX (EIB) devices.

Venue
BATC Courses take place at BATC Offices located in 171, Street 11, Mkalles 2701 2327 / Lebanon

Target Audience
Any technically qualified person, dealing in home automation, and mainly electrical engineers, could attend the course.

Training Cost
Each training session has a course fee of USD 1250.00 per participant for the complete duration of the 5 days (40 hours), including the KNX Certification exam. The participants are responsible for paying their travel and hotel accommodation themselves however a support in accommodation may be provided by the management of BATC. Lunch and coffee during the training is offered by BATC.

Cancellation / No show of participant


In case the participant cancels the training course in less than 10 days from the beginning of the course or does not show for the course, the complete course fee will be charged. Replacement of a participant within the companys staff is accepted at any time without cost. In the event of cancellation / no show of the participant, if we are charged for hotel services which have not been used, we shall reserve the right to pass on these charges to the participant.

Certification
Each student will have the KNX Basic Certificate upon completion of the courseware with successful results in theoretical and practical exam.

On Hand Tools
Each group of two users is provided with a laptop where the KNX software to be trained on is provided throughout the training period. These laptops contain all the examples to be used. Each group of two users is provided with a set of devices that are interconnected using the KNX bus showing the various devices. Those panels are for training purposes and could be purchased for further in-house tests. A copy of ETS4 Lite License is provided to be used on a personal laptop, and will remain the ownership of each student. Successful completion of the Basic course will entitle a discount while purchasing the online ETS Professional.

Manuals
Each user is provided one set of hard copy of the documentation used during the training. This documentation is used at a later stage during design and implementation of KNS systems. Hard copies of the presentation and exercises are joined to the manuals to allow taking notes.
