Research Experience S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University Research Assistant (August 2012-present) Assist Peter A. Horvitz Endowed Chair of Journalism Innovation. Duties include writing and researching articles and multimedia stories for website about journalism innovation, coordinating on-campus programs and contests, and running the chairs social media platforms. Write semimonthly blog posts for PBS Idea Lab. Research Assistant (June 2012-present) Assist John Ben Snow professor with several research projects. Duties include compiling bibliographies and references lists for upcoming books, compiling literature reviews for ongoing research projects and editing manuscripts. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with all aspects of classroom operations. Wrote and graded exams. Advised students on exam preparation, term papers and other assignments. Professional Journalism Experience Press & Sun-Bulletin, Binghamton, N.Y. August 2004-August 2009 Served as baseball writer and college sports writer for 75,000-circulation newspaper. Worked as beat writer for Binghamton Mets. Responsible for all aspects of the beat, including covering all home and selected road games as well as writing features, analysis pieces and columns. Covered the entire New York Mets organization. Covered Binghamton University athletics, with emphasis on mens and womens basketball.
