Analysis Part I IFood Based from the interview conducted by the researchers, the pinikpikan and the etag

represent their own tribe being a Bontoc Igorot and it also represents their culture. One of our respondent said The etag and pinikpikan is our traditional food and it has been carried out until today. On the other hand, our respondents didnt have any symbolic meaning of the food, like the adobo and the lechon. For them it is just a common food a Filipino Cuisine. The respondents prefer more to prepare the pinikpikan and the etag. IIClothing The researchers found out that the bahag and the tapis symbolizes the different tribes of mountain province. Like the bontoc peoples bahag and tapis have a green colors weaved in it. On the other hand, the respondents added that they are proud to wear the bahag and tapis in any occasion if there is no required formal attire. For the barong and the saya, they only said that it represent only being a Filipino. They only wear it during a formal occasion and is compulsory for them to prepare it. This would mean that they wear our national clothing

occasionally compared to their ethnic clothes which is the Bahag and Tapis. III- Political Institution The researchers found out that the respondents would prefer to go to the ato than in the Philippine court. This is because of the cases happening in the Supreme Court. One of the respondents mention the case of Chief Justice Renato Corona which according to him a bad example to the image of our justice system. The respondents added that the Ato represents the kind of their justice system in Bontoc Mountain Province. They, the respondents, did not have any comment as to the symbolism of the Supreme Court but they said that is one of our highest court. IVDances The researchers found out that the dances of the Bontoc people represent the different culture and traditions. It also represent the different rituals of the Igorots like manerwap, a ritual to call for the rain. The respondents did not give any comment on the symbolism of the Carinosa and the tinikling. According to them it is just a Filipino Dance.

Heroes The respondents consider Macliing Dulag their local hero but they dont know much of his heroic deeds. For them he represents courage and their dedication to their ancestral lands. Furthermore, the respondents said our national heroes like Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, and the then senator Ninoy Aquino II; represent love of country and dedication to it.

Music The researchers found out that most of the respondents know how to sing tagalog song and Bontoc songs. Most of the respondents said that they sing tagalog and Bontoc songs if they feel like to sing, but some prefer to sing Bontoc songs because it bring them relaxation and carry them to a new horizon. The songs also represent what tribe to they belong because of the language used for the lyrics. The respondents did not give much comment as to the meaning of the Tagalog songs that they know.
