Retrouvaille: A Lifeline for Marriage

Thinking about Separation or Divorce? Is your marriage or that of a relative or friend heading for divorce? Do you know how to save that marriage? Or do you feel helpless? Retrouvaille (pronounced retro-vi with a long i) is designed to help troubled marriages regain their health. It helps spouses uncover or re-awaken the love, trust and commitment that originally brought them together. The program is highly successful in saving hurting marriages, even bringing reconciliation to couples who have already separated or divorced. If your marriage suffers from disillusionment or misery please contact Retrouvaille. The next weekend will be held March 8 -10, 2013 at the Ursuline Centre in Great Falls. For confidential information or to register call 800-4702230 or 406-761-4830 or email montana@retrouvaille.org. Introduction to NFP
A twenty minute audio-visual introduction to NFP is now available online provided by the Billings Ovulation Method. Go to their website video library at www.nfpoutreach.org/library/video-library.htm. This is a great service to couples who are beginning to explore the various natural methods and assists pastors with the basic methodology of one of the available methods. It also explains how women can become aware of the naturally occurring signs and symptoms their body provides telling them when fertility begins and ends each cycle. The Billings Method is an extremely effective and morally good means of spacing pregnancies (99.5+% for postponing pregnancies when the four simple rules are correctly used). It is completely natural, and provides an understanding of a womans fertility. It fosters collaboration and a shared responsibility or can be used to overcome infertility. It is also a means of monitoring gynecologic health. Other advantages, particular to the Billings Method include:

Stewardship and Development

Stewardship Thought: A common theme throughout todays Scripture passages is one of prophets and prophecy. Jeremiah is consecrated in the womb and called at an early age to prophecy to the nations. Jesus, in St. Lukes Gospel, proclaims that the messianic prophecy of old is fulfilled in Him; the people reject His message in anger. St. Paul tells the Corinthian community that the gift of prophecy is nothing unless it is done with love. Are we, as faithful stewards, listening to Jesus as prophet through the Churchs teachings against abortion, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, and other moral challenges of todays secular culture? Development Thought: Have you expressed your love for your Catholic faith through a simple bequest in your Will? Remembering our church family in this way will make a great difference in furthering the Kingdom of God in eastern Montana. Here is the wording to use: I give $_____(or _____% of my residuary estate) to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Great Falls, Montana, for the benefit of St. Marys Parish in Malta, MT (or the name of the diocese or other Catholic ministry in our diocese). Thank you!

Easy to Learn Accurate, scientific, simple method of regulating fertility Simple to Use No Drugs or Devices No Side Effects Reliable Morally Acceptable to All Cultures Increases knowledge, understanding and respect for fertility Develops couple communication and relationships

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!

We Pray Together
Prayer for the New Evangelization
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can people preach unless they are sent? Romans 10: 13-15 Heavenly Father, Pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire me with these words from Holy Scripture. Stir in my soul the desire to renew my faith and deepen my relationship with your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ so that I might truly believe in and live the Good News. Open my heart to hear the Gospel and grant me the confidence to proclaim the Good News to others. Pour out your Spirit, so that I might be strengthened to go forth and witness to the Gospel in my everyday life through my words and actions. In moments of hesitation, remind me: If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel? If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed? If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim? God, our Father, I pray that through the Holy Spirit I might hear the call of the New Evangelization to deepen my faith, grow in confidence to proclaim the Gospel and boldly witness to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for Religious Liberty

O GOD OUR CREATOR, from your provident hand we have received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as your people and given us the right and the duty to worship you, the only true God, and your Son, Jesus Christ. Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel to every corner of society. We ask you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened; give us courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith. Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters gathered in your Church in this decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that, with every trial withstood and every danger overcome for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us this great land will always be one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Family Prayer for the Year of Faith

O God our Father, in Jesus you call all Christian families and homes to be signs of living faith. By the light of the Holy Spirit, lead us to be thankful for the gift of faith, and by that gift may we grow in our relationship with Jesus, your Son, and be confident witnesses to Christian hope and joy to all we meet. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWSLETTER As I write this letter, I feel very excited about the growth within our Religious Education groups as Christians and as a family unit. PRAISE GOD for this ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 2013 SEARCH date has been set for MARCH 15-16-17th. We will have our first PLANNING MEETING ON Feb 6 at 6:00 at the RE Center. Cathy will bring dinner, so if you
are wanting the superb joy of helping out, please attend this meeting to get on a committee or call Cathy at 390-0615 or Dianne at 654-1443 or cell 654-4675.Yippee Skippy nd The 2 graders are preparing for the Sacraments they will be receiving in April. Brenda and Stacie are pray fully instructing their students about the importance of these Sacraments. I think we all need to be reminded of the awesomeness of receiving the Body and Blood of our Lord. WOW, Jesus actually came among us and offered us the gift of salvation.
In our classes, we are coming to an understanding once again of why it is important to attend Mass. I say, once again, because it seems it has come to the point that we all have many excuses not to. BUT it is so easy....one hour every week to give our children the gift of faith. We always want what is best for our children and our children, when receiving the Eucharist, receive a gift beyond all other gifts. This is the reality of the Eucharist. We receive Jesus Christ himself, we take Him within our very bodies. Wow the potential we have of going forth, having been nourished with this Gift.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The 6th through 12 graders spent an evening at the Hi Line Retirement center giving manicures to the women residents and playing games with the men. The inter generational sight was something to behold. Very very beautiful. OUR TEENS are very AMAZING
We want to thank Jonathon Green for the donation of the 60 inch TV for us in the RE center. We had our first movie night with the first half of the show Molokia, the Fr Damien story. Watching it full screen was pretty exciting for us all..so thank you Jonathon and also to your Mom, Anita, for suggesting it.!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will be having a VIRTUS class and it is TENTATIVELY set for Sunday the 10th at 11:15 in the Church basement. The class is about 2 hours in length . This is a course mandated by the Catholic Church in a step to keep our children safe. It is so great that our kids are being looked after by our whole Parish Family..So if you are involved in anyway in ministries, we will be calling you to give you the details God bless and prayers for us all.
