Music can be used to teach childeren to sing along while playing a game as well as playing certen parts withInstruments(tambruine and hand drums) Age Group: 3rd -4th Needed Materials: Bingo cards that match the song and stickers as well as the BINGO song, tamburine and hand drums. National Standard(s): Singing with others while stying with the rythem, and singing while playing BINGO as another group sings and palys theInstruments. Incorporating music with other subjects to help further a students knowledge. State Standard(s): MU.S.GMK- 2.1 sing with accuracy in a developmentally appropriate range.2.2 sing age-approprite songs from mermory. National Standard 2: Performing on instruments, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.

Essential Question: Can music help students learn other subjects better? Objective: To be able to sing along with BINGO song track one group play bingo and sing the other play Instruments and sing with other group at the sametime. Procedures: Step 1: First have students listen to the song.

Step 2: Following listening replay the song again but have the students sing the the words with the music. Step 3: Next spilt the class into two groups, then have one group play the hand drum and tamurine during the chours while the other group sings along. Step 4: Next introduce BINGO the game bord and the group without Instruments play BINGO and sing while the other group sings and plays thier Instruments. Step 5: Now turn the song back on and have the students switch off with the Instruments and the BINGO game cards. Play untill everyone on eatch group wins a round of BINGO Step 6: Pass the Music handout back and the BINGO cards, Have the students sing the song from memerory all together with no

Instruments. Step 7: Last, have the students incorporate everything they have learned and put it all together. While the song is playing have the students sing BINGO while those with Instruments play. Assessment: Check to see if students understand how to keep the words with the music. Make sure students are able to keep up with the song while playing BINGO and playing the Instruments during the chours; and that they are able to do morethen one step at a time (multitask). Remediation: Students can help assist others in the classroom that has difficulty keeping rythem or learing the words or even playing the game. Students that have any difficulty with following the handout can continue to follow untill they have the song.
