EVERY WEEK AT JESSIES CENTRE:

Parent-Child Centre Drop-In: A warm and cozy space where moms and children can gather and play. Speak to the Parent-Child Centre staff about parent relief. Open Monday & Tuesday, 9 - 5:30 and Wednesday & Thursday, 9 - 4. Breakfast: Fruit, cereal and toast are available. Help yourself! Lunch: A cooked lunch for you and your family. Dinner: A warm cooked meal offered every Monday and Tuesday. School: Our 12 seat school gives you the chance to gain your high school credits. Counselling: A counsellor is available to help you with social assistance, tax credits, daycare, housing, custody and relationship issues. Health Counselling: The health counsellor can meet one-on-one with you to answer questions about your health, your pregnancy, or your childs health, growth and development. Housing: A housing counsellor is available to help you find & keep housing, fill out applications or settle housing disputes. Swap Shop: Lots of new and gently used clothes, toys, housewares and more. NEW HOURS: Open Monday and Tuesday from 4 - 5 pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 3 - 4 pm

MONDAYS
All Ages Parenting Group: 5 - 6:15 pm For mothers with children of all ages, provides interactive parent-child activities, discussion and activities for mothers. The goals are to help parents better understand their children and strengthen their relationships with their children. Prenatal Classes: 5:15 - 6:30 pm At prenatal classes you and your labour support person can learn what to expect during pregnancy and labour , how to prepare for labour and birth, pain control options and medical interventions during labour, breastfeeding and mother and newborn care. $10 food voucher given to participants each week!

TUESDAYS
Reiki with Joy: 11 am - 3 pm Reiki is a type of Japanese therapy. Joy will use healing energy to help you relax. First come, first served. Reading Circle: 1:30 - 3 pm Participate in reading and discussing a popular young-adult novel. Well Woman and Baby Clinic: 1:30 - 4 pm Our health counsellor and doctor are available to weigh your baby, answer any questions on breastfeeding, immunizations, doctor visits, birth control and other issues. If you have health cards for you and your baby, please bring them. Food for Two: 5:15 - 6:15 pm This group focuses on nutrition and health concerns during pregnancy. Come get tips on cooking, budgeting and shopping. A midwife attends the group once a month to answer any questions about your pregnancy, labour, newborn care and after-care. $10 food voucher given to participants each week! Fathers Group: 5:15 - 6:30 pm A parenting group for dads, dads-to-be and those in a fathering role. $10 food voucher given to participants each week!

WEDNESDAYS
Me, My Baby, Our World: 1:30 - 3 pm An interactive weekly group that explores the relationship between mom and baby through play, scrapbooking photos and discussion. Please note this group will be closed to new participants on February 20th.

THURSDAYS
Rainbow Songs Circle: 1:30 - 2:15 pm Join the song leader and sing and make music in this interactive music program. Suitable for children and adults of all ages! Supportive Breastfeeding Drop-in: 2 - 3 pm Come get your questions about breastfeeding answered and receive support from our health counsellor.

TAX SEASON IS COMING!

Jessies will be having Tax Clinics in March 2013. Start gathering the paperwork you will need, like rent receipts, childcare receipts and income statements from any employers you had in 2012. Be sure to call your current/

previous employers and update them with your current address. If applicable, your UCCB statement will arrive in February and, if applicable, your income statement from OW will arrive in February as well.
