HeisfulloftheHolySpirit(Acts6:3,5)Suchmenarespirituallyminded andsubmissivetoGod'sleadership. 2. Heisfullofwisdom(Acts6:3)Suchmenhavespiritualknowledgeand understandingthatprovidesounddirectionfortheministryofthechurch. 3. Heisalsofulloffaith(Acts6:5)Spiritualmenwalkbyfaithandnotby sightbecausetheyknowandtrusttheGodoftheWordandbelieveinthe WordofGod. 4. Hehasagoodreputation(Acts6:3)Suchamandemonstratesintegrity andhonestytoothers.HehasabelievableChristianlife. 5. Thismanshouldbegraveordignifiedandworthyofrespect(1Tim.3:8) Suchamanfaceslifeseriouslyandthereisacertainstatelinessabouthim thatcommandsrespect. 6. Heisamanwhoisnotdoubletongued,butissincereinhisspeech(1 Tim.3:8)Suchamanshouldspeakwithverbalhonestyandintegrity,not sayingonethingtoonepersonandsomethingelsetoanother. 7. Thismanabstainsfromtheuseofaddictivedrugsforotherthan medicinalpurposes,andfromthesaleanduseofalcoholicbeverages (1Tim.3:8)HerealizestheimportanceofhisChristianinfluenceandis willingtolimithislibertyforthesakeofothers. 8. Heisnotagreedyperson(1Tim.3:8)Suchamanisfreefromtheloveof moneyandotherearthlypossessions. 9. ThismanhasadeepBiblicalcommitment(1Tim.3:9)Thismanholdsto thetruthsoftheChristianfaithwithaclearconscience.Heisnoteasily swayedfromthetruthbecausehestrivestolivewhatheknows. 10. Hemustfirstbetestedandproven(1Tim.3:10Thismanmusthave provenovertimethatheisfaithfulandthathiswalkiscredible.

Hemustalsobebeyondreproachandblameless(1Tim.3:10)Sucha manmustdisplayalifestylefreefromcontinualpatternsofScriptural disobedience.Thereshouldbenothinginhislifeforwhichhecouldbe accusedandthusdisqualified. 12. Thisman'swifeshouldbeawomanworthyofrespect,notamalicious gossip,buttemperateandfaithfulineverything.(1Tim3:10)Thespouse shouldbedevotedtoGodandyieldedtotheHolySpirit. 13. Heshouldbethehusbandofonewife(1Tim.3:12)Thismanshould haveneverbeendivorced.Heshouldbedevotedandfaithfultohiswife. 14. Hemustmanagehischildrenandhishouseholdwell(1Tim.3:12) Suchamanshoulddemonstrateleadershipinhishomelife.Heshouldhave awellorderedfamilylife,andwellbehavedchildren(stillunderhis authority). 15. HemustrecognizeGodgivenspiritualleadershipthatisincumbentupon theofficeofapastorandseektosubmittohisleadership(Heb.13:7,17). 16. Heshallpractice"storehousetithing"ofhisfamilyincome(Mal.3:10). 17. Heshoulddoallhecantocreateandpreserveunityandharmonyinthe church(Eph.4:13). KeyResponsibilitiesandDuties: 1. Participateregularlyinachurchgroup,eitherasaworkeroramember. 2. Attendworshipservicesandnightactivities,unlessprovidentiallyhindered. 3. Activelyserveinsomeministryinthelifeofthechurch. 4. Besupportiveoftheoverallministryofthechurch. 5. ParticipateinallscheduledDeaconBodyactivities,unlessprovidentiallyhindered. 6. BeavailabletoministerwhencalleduponbyPastor. 7. Practicepersonalevangelismofthelostasopportunitiesarise. 8. Attendbeneficialtrainingsessionsasavailable,unlessprovidentiallyhindered. 9. PrayforandbesupportedofthePastor,PastoralStaff,andDeaconBodyLeadership. IhavereadandunderstandthedutiesofaDeaconasoutlinedabove,and,ifaffirmedby thechurch,willperformthemtothebestofmyabilities. Employee
