Role:
Junior Product Controller, Exotics, Currencies, EM & Credit BUC

Team: Trading BUC Division: Finance

Reports to:
BUC Team Leader

Role Purpose:

Daily calculation and reporting of Profit & Loss and/or Balance Sheet and/or IPV&Reserves for respective trading desks, Work proactively with all the internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues around the process performed, Ensure accuracy and completeness of all the results & submissions, Take over new processes in line with business requirements, Resolve all non-standard queries around processes performed, Establish and maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders, Ensure process documentation is completed, reviewed and updated (as required), Identify improvements in the processes to obtain efficiencies and improve key controls, Assist the Business Unit Control team in ad-hoc queries and new business requirements as necessary.

Key Accountabilities:
Production of daily P&L process with explanation of P&L by driver for the allocated desk Ensure month end numbers agree to the sum of the daily P&L or provide meaningful explanations for the Desk(s) All pricing valuation issues, including off-market rate analysis in respect of all positions held by the Desk(s) Balance sheet substantiation and control Project work covering controls enhancement, efficiency initiatives and strategic developments in order to provide business advantage Regular and ad-hoc analysis of both tactical and strategic aspects of the business

Critical Competencies:

Active appreciation of general Financial control concepts / requirements Strong academic background with a finance or accounting background an advantage

Relevant Financial Product Control expertise with up to date technical awareness. In particular, knowledge and ability in one or more of the following areas: Equities and equity derivatives Foreign exchange / currency and money markets Fixed income (including credit derivatives) Interest rate derivatives and emerging markets Commodities

Professional Qualifications Requirements:

Fluent Business English (both written and spoken)

Other Technical Skills, Knowledge or Experience:

University degree in finance/banking/economy or equivalent Able to work autonomously to prioritise own and teams workload in a time-pressured environment Demonstrating pro-active attitude and people management skills)
