We no longer live in a male-dominated society. When we look back, we will see that this period is a turning point in society for women.

and strength, a noticeable void that women have begun to infiltrate and dominate. There is a positive trend for female success in todays society. The recession did away with hard labor tasks, and typically maledominated professions such as construction and contracting fell by the wayside. Women, more than men, will attend college and receive degrees. Women can raise families without a man in the house, and the prior stigma that fatherless homes have an adverse effect on children has been disproven. There is no better time in history to be a woman than now.

Dying To Be Thin
Women represent between 85-95% of all sufferers of anorexia. Someone with anorexia nervosa has a fear of gaining weight, and will often be preoccupied with thoughts of food. They normally believe they are overweight despite the fact that the opposite may be true. Visible weight loss is the only misconceived positive outcome of anorexia. Sufferers of anorexia will also effect your body in other ways: your memory will worsen, brain chemistry will change irreversibly, you will faint, your hair will thin, your skin will yellow, you will bruise easily, have dry skin, become temporarily infertile, develop peach fuzz all over your body, have bone loss, and be at greater risk for heart palpitations, heart failure, and MORE. Listen to your body, listen to your feelings, trust yourself, accept yourself, love yourself; enjoy life.

5 Steps to Fit
1. Tell people you want to get fit. Having people to be able to talk to and hold you accountable will help encourage you to actually get to the gym and reach your goal. 2. Get to the gym. Most gyms have start up programs that include a personal trainer to help you get on your feet. Once you know what you should be doing and make a habit of doing it, it is easy to keep going. 3. Know your limits. You must be mentally ready to go to the gym in order to get the results you want. If you are short on sleep or have had a rough day, this can affect how hard you want to work. If you arent prepared to work hard, you probably wont 4. Be safe. Make sure you do a full body warm up before you start. Also, if the exercises start to be painful, stop. If you get hurt, you wont be able to go to the gym at all and therefore wont make progress. 5. Exercise your whole body. Interestingly enough, just doing crunches wont get you awesome abs. In order to burn fat, you must mix cardio, weight lifting, and body weight exercises. Also, you must pay attention to what you eat. A good pre-workout and post-workout meal

Worlds Most Powerful Mothers

A+

Recently, the statistics regarding the success of women have gone up. In 1970, women contributed 2-6% of the family income. Now, the typical working wife brings home 42.2%, and 40% of mothers are the primary breadwinners in their families. Women now hold 51.4% of managerial and professional jobs up from 26.1% in 1980. Also, women dominate todays colleges and professional schools for every two men who will receive a B.A. this year, three women will do the same. College is the gateway to economic success, a necessary precondition for moving into the upper-middle class. Women now earn 60% of masters degrees, half of all law and medical degrees, and 42% of all M.B.A.s. Although the success rates have increased significantly, we would like to promote raising the bar even higher. Currently, women ages 25-34 with only a high-school diploma currently have a median income of $25,474, while men in the same position earn $32,469; only 3% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women. We want to create a culture of success because in 2006, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development devised the Gender, Institutions, and Development Database, which measures the economic and political power of women in 162 countries. With few exceptions, the greater the power of women, the greater the countrys economic success. Devote yourself to your education, pride yourself on establishing a stable and worthwhile career, and live your dreams!
