St. Joseph the Workers Hike for the Homeless

St. Joseph the Workers Hike for the Homeless is on Saturday, March 2ndgo to www.hikeforthehomeless.org for the entire scoop! Last year, St. Patrick had the largest team after years of dominance by St. Xavier. Well, St. Xavier wants to get the rotating trophy back, so we have to work extra hard to keep it at St. Pats and we need your help! Get your whole ministry to sign up as a show of solidarity and support. If you decide to join the team, be sure to sign up on the St. Patrick team when you register so we get credit for your entry. Besides our goal of having the largest team, we also want to be the team with the highest amount of donations! So, even if you or some of your ministers cant hike that weekend, you can sponsor another hiker and help us toward that goal. If youre unfamiliar with the work that St. Joseph the Worker does, they help the homeless, unemployed and underemployed find jobs with a decent wage (i.e., not minimum wage) and benefits that can support themselves and their family, and develop the tools and skills that are necessary to get those jobs. Feel free to forward this For any questions information to family and regarding the contents friends to join us as well! Take a hike and save a lifeJoin the St. Pat hike team today!

Keep Holy Week Sacred

We are asking all parishioners to make sure the Holiest Week of the entire year is kept clear by all Christians. The saving acts of Jesus have been remembered by Christians for centuries and the challenge for us today is to make sure Holy Week is not the same as every other week in our lives. We are asking all ministry leaders to lead by example and clear their calendars of anything that could wait until the following week, and plan to attend Holy Week Services. Please communicate with all your ministers to see what things in their lives can be put on hold and make Holy Week sacred. March 24-31 is Holy Week Sunday, March 24 is Passion (Palm Sunday) Mass with the proclamation of the Passion. Holy Thursday Thursday at 7:00 PM begins Triddum with a Mass that remembers the Last Supper, the washing of the feet and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass until midnight. Please assign your ministry a time to come and pray, either one hour or a half hour. As Jesus prayed in the garden before his saving act we can join him in prayer.

Videos Before Mass Are Back!

Highlighting upcoming parish activities on video before Mass is a great way to invite participation. When we Good Friday first started using videos, we showed a video each week.
