BRITAIN Leader Abilities Abercromby: Available in 1796. If part of an amphibious landing it costs -1 CP. Remove from play in 1802.

Beresford: Whether in command or subordinate, ignore 1 attrition roll that resulted in a kill. Hill: When acting as a subordinate, he gives you 2 battle dice instead of 1. Moore: +1 to evade rolls. Wellington: BR 5 when defending. -1 to evade rolls. York: Cannot be a subordinate, unless serving under a foreign commander. During the reinforcement interphase you may build 1 CU under him for free if he is in London. Place in London in the 1805 scenario. Flags, Regroup, and Attrition Flagging Duchies Key duchies may only be flagged by leaders with at least 1 CU. Leader Regroup For 1 CP you may send a leader on the map to the regroup box. You may do this for free during your reinforcement phase. Attrition and Lines of Communication Forces suffer Attrition as usual for being in an enemy controlled duchy in the Attrition Phase. In addition to the usual attrition, they suffer a second attrition if they cannot trace a line of communication, which is a chain friendly spaces from their current duchy to their capital. The line may trace by sea if there's a friendly controlled port and no enemy fleets blocking the path. Naval Combat Wind Gauge Before rolling dice in a naval battle each side rolls 1d6 and adds their modifier. The side with the higher number fires first on the first round of combat, applying damage before the defender fires. On a tie, both sides fire at once. If a fleet is attacked in port, it immediately has the wind gauge. Fortress Combat Fortresses They may hold 1 CU and any number of leaders. The CU adds 1 die to the fortress dice and the leader adds their BR, halved and rounded down. However, the fortress still only takes a number of hits equal to its rating. The CU is lost and the leader is considered to be a prisoner. Players may negotiate for prisoners freely. If the two players ever find themselves at peace or allied, the prisoner is immediately returned to that players force pool.

Battle Leader Re-rolls When fighting a battle, the each commanding leader compares their BR. The leader with the higher BR gets a number of re-rolls in combat equal to the difference. Leader Loss Through Battle Any leader who dies due to a card is permanently lost. Also, each side rolls 2d6 after a battle or siege. On a 2 or 12 a leader dies and is irreplaceable. If there was more than one leader, then draw the victim at random. If the stack is multinational, the nation with the most troops loses the general. Players can always choose to lose a leader who will automatically leave the game on any turn. Each side can only lose 1 leader per turn. In addition leader loss through battle is capped at 2 for Britain (1 in 1792) Combat Cards If a combat (not a response) card is used in combat you may draw a replacement card. If the card has a higher CP value than the recently played combat card, you must discard that card. If it is a red or green event, it is played as if it were used by a neutral proxy. National Advantage British Wealth If Britain controls at least 5 sea zones during their reinforcement interphase, they gain 1 resource on a roll of 5-6. May only happen once per game. End Game Bonus Keys Britannia Rules the Waves! Britain gains 1 key at the end of the game if they control 7 sea zones. Web of Alliances Britain gains 1 key at the end of the game if they control 2 or more of the following nations: Turkey, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. Balance of Power Britain gains 1 key at the end of the game if no power, including Britain, gained more than 2 keys

Special Rules for 1792 Egyptian Expedition When played, Turkey is immediately becomes a British Partner

Diplomacy Unreliable Spain Spain is automatically unaligned on her third impulse of turn 1 unless she is in pact status with a major power. Place 1 CU each in Barcelona and Navarre. For 6 CP, any Coalition player power may immediately make Spain a Pact Ally. Spain is unaligned in the resolve conquest phase if the any of her duchies are flagged. The flagged duchy is returned to Spain and the nation that flagged it receives 1 card. After this Spain is treated as a normal proxy power.
