14 Basketball athletes on court are almost flying! Basket is a game that needs an incessant flow of action that demands complex and high speed teamwork. Inspiration, spontaneity and trickery are the words that best describe the game. Basketball is played with two teams of five players on a hard, flat court. Hoops are mounted high on a backboard at opposite ends of the court. The main objective of the game is to score the most baskets by shooting the ball into the opposing teams hoop. The winning team is the one that has scored the most points at the end of the game. A popular variant is 3x3 basketball, which is increasingly becoming a key motor for the development of the sport. One of the biggest strengths of 3x3 is its simplicity both in terms of rules and in terms of required facilities. It comprises of two teams, each team consists of four players, of whom three are on the court at any given time, plus one coach. The game is played on half of a FIBA regulation court, with one basket. The game is divided into two periods of 5 minutes each. The winner is the first team to score 33 or more points. If neither team reaches 33 points at the end of regulation, the team with the highest score wins, as in regular basketball. FIBA, is the Federation Internationale de Basketball Amateur, the sport international governing body while Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) is the national federation responsible for the sport development & promotion. Kayakers paddle facing the front, and are competing in races comprise of heats, semi finals & finals. The competition course for the Sprint is similar to the rowing one. Both disciplines demands strength, courage, quickness of thought and are very spectacular.
